  • 'THE SUGAR AND SPICE IS REALLY VERY NICE'
  • GO TRI THE BIKE SHOP!
  • MACDONALDS. GRAVESENDS HEART.
  • Sancho's Kebab shop has the greasiest tucker this side of the M25. Good chili sauce! Other than that my mum does a fine line in sausage, chips and beans.
  • nells cafe is the place 2 go when hung ova
  • 'SUGAR AND SPICE' (NEAR THE CLOCK TOWER,OPPOSITE THE BP GARAGE) IS REALLY VERY NICE.FOR A NICE CUP OF TEA A TASTY BURGER AND A BIT OF ENTERTAINMENT.THE GEEZER WITH GLASSES THAT RUNS IT IS A CROSS BETWEEN BASIL FORTY FROM FORTY TOWERS,AND FRANK BUTCHER FROM EAST ENDERS.HE MAKES ME LARTH.

  • They tried to do up the riverside bar and rename it Overseas (well they didnt try they did rename it) but the staff in there are crap and thw hole place now sucks with lousy sized portions and they didn't even offer me salt or vinegar on my chips-what a rip off!
  • Go to Cafe Taj for a wicked curry. Top notch service and friendly staff. Or STAR GRILL! Go see Ali and his boys for the best Kebab in town.
  • The Ghandi and The Curry Mecca do a mean chicken bhuna and the new Oriental Buffet restaurant (High Street) is great value with a HUGE range of freshly cooked food (Indian, Chinese, Indonesian, Thai, Malaysian and English food).
  • the northfleet fish bar is cool, but i tell u, riverside cafe, or woteva its called...jus rules...that chinese chippie by bird in hand...man i love those chips :)
  • Macdonalds Macdonalds Macdonalds
  • Sanchos is the best but Northfleet Fish bar is a close second
  • DONT GO TO THE NEW RESTAURANT N.C.REVS I WORKED THEIR 4 ONE DAY AND LEFT...ITS HORRIBLE!! THE MAN HOO PUTS THE FOOD OUT SWEATS AND IT DRIPS INTO THE FOOD...HONEST! YUK
  • Mason Halls basement for some particularly fine muzak and I seem to remember some pretty fits saturday staff.
  • FAVORITE CHIKEN (THIS HAS KOSOVOAN REFUGEES WHICH ARE REALLY FUNNY TO TAKE THE PISS OUT OF)
  • Maccy d`s will always be the best!
  • Cafe Taj is THE DOG'S BULLOCKS! £12 all you can eat. Very fiendly staff and generous portions. Do a lunchtime one for £7 too
  • PEKING...great food. Heard it was in a good food guide. Good place for romantic meals if your legs can survive the stairs.
  • For the American who complained that there are no Hershey bars or Butterfingers or other US junk food in Gravesend. You're wrong. At Woolworths (when I was there, at any rate), they sold Reeses Peanut Cups, and Cookies and Creme bars. There is also a lolly shop (sorry - sweet shop if you're english, candy store if you're American, I'm Australian), in the arcade across from the train station that sold all kinds of cool stuff. They had Jellyatrics (grown-up Jelly Babies). I was impressed.
  • MACDONALDS!!!!!!! a few chinese, indian
  • Kent Charcoal grill - impressive delivery times
  • The chippie at Denton is good. For something special, try Bloomers in the Overcliffe Hotel.
  • Update on the Punjabi Karahi and Ajays entry- Punjab now has a licence and the prices have rocketed- still good food though. I would no longer recommend AJAY in Wrotham Road except the meat Thali- excellent!
  • Best Indian - Rickshaw or Milad, McDonald will always get your order wrong !
  • ceasars near the cinema does good grub
  • The Milaad (Just down from Clock Tower) is by far the best Indian Takeaway in Gravesend, for chinese try Lucky Jade in Whitehill Road
  • Sanchos, Kismet Kebab, KCG, Perry Grill, Star Grill
  • The best takeaway is Valley Grill!!
  • caesars is a ok place to eat, cheap and you get loads of food for your money
  • Valley Grill does da best food!!

  • BB Muffins is the best coffee shop but the old birds in Crumbs make a great sarni
  • A new hot dog stall in st. Georges centre but don't eat the paper like I did!
  • Perry Grill in Perry street do a great Kebab.
  • The raj tandori past the clocktower is the best indian food i have ever tasted it was at one time listed in the good restaurant guide but dont know if it still is.
  • MaccyDs of course.
  • Star Burger - with their classey, grease covered burgers and chips for a dainty price of 5p.
  • Harvester-Rochester Road Clarendon
  • Yet again - here comes...Harry's Brasserie! You can book for large parties of up to thirty by phone. The food is good and the chef is very dishy (Jordan)
  • by far the best restaurant in gravesend is la maison
  • Where do you start? Loads of them, not all good mind. China Garden and The Ghandi are two nice ones I know of.
  • MACDONALDS is about the only decent resturant apart from "China China" but people have said you can get food poisoning from there!
  • The chip shop top of Denton. My favorite when I lived there. Best fish and chips in town. Wish they'd open one up in America, where I live now!!
  • The best curries are sold in The Punjabi Karahi in King street and AJAY's in Wrotham Road. Neither have alcohol licences so take your own wine, beer and spirits. Food is either the traditional Madras etc or superb Punjabi food reflecting the local residency of 16,000 Sikhs. Both very cheep
  • See Ho at Shorne, great food
  • Reliance Fish Bar on Queen Street is pretty good. For a decent kebab after a night at the pub try the Star Grill. For a late night Chinese try Kenny Chow.
  • Ah !! Now were talking. Everything from McDonalds to Chinese. I recommend the Indian Curry Mecca (Parrock Street) for a superb curry.
  • Clarindon Hotel
  • Avoid MacDonalds and Favourite chicken, but China China on the High street is definitely recommended: all you can eat for about 11 pounds!
