Cinemas
- IT GOT FUCKING BURNT DOWN
- Since it closed and then burnt down, Bluewater is the nearest. Gravesend NEEDS a cinema. Though perhaps not with hard, bubblegum stained seats! Just think, we had THREE in the 1960's!
- Bluewater - greater variety [nowhere in Gravesend]
- THE CINEMA IN GRAVESEND USED TO BE OKAY THEN THEY CLOSED IT AND CHANGED IT TO SUMWERE YOU WOULD GO TO PREACH, NOW ITS BURNT DOWN I THINK THAT WAS THE BEST OUTCOME HAVE TO GO BLUE WATER
- I tink we shood hav da old cinema bak. wot we got in plce ov it wot crap
- went 4rm twn ages bac r.i.p cinema i luvd ya 4eva
- bluewater, though they are re-building the one down the town and the films are like £3.50 to £5.00
- we aint got one , first it was the majestic then abc then emi then bolly bloody wood then gods house of fun now its a burnt out shell.
- bible bashhing god films lol
- The old cinema was the best! but now thats sum kind of cult. Bluewater baby! i duno wot id do wivout it
- There are no cinemas left in Gravesend, the ABC "Flea-pit" having become an Indian crappy Bollywood film-fest and then an Evangelical centre... don't know which one's worse...
- there are none! Apart from the cinema in Bluewater which is cool.
- Bring back the cinema, 3.50 per film was utterly-butterly.
- Yes was a good 3 theatre cinema until it was sold for Indian Films only to be shown!!!
- They closed, aparently there aren't enough people in Gravesend with eyes?......
- The cinema in Gravesend High Street, why is it not used? It would be so handy!!!!
- hmm... the new cinema/church thing
- The cinema that is now a councilling centre thingy... it was really really bad.
- Well it got bought to show Indian films only (bearing in mind Gravesend has a very large Indian community) but now its some outreach centre for a religious Christian cult...
- BLUEWATER CINEMA IS EXPENSIVE. BETTER NOT TO GO TO THE CINEMA IF U LIVE IN GRAVESEND.
- plays indian films
- BLUEWATER SKATE THE CAR PARK AFTER
- was one once got changed into indian films only and now its some kind of church.
- the cinema has been taken ova lol
- The most decent cinema round our way it the one at bluewater.
- Haven't got one any more, so it's up to Bluewater.
- bluewater, but there used to be one, now its some sort of rehab church. i except half of town r in there at night. (rehab and chavs goes like fish n chips, ie coz they're always in need of it)
- cinemas?? what cinemas??
- There isnt one!
- there was a cinema then they changed it into a healing by prey centre
- punjabi one
- Bluewater is best. There is a little cinema but i think it shut down
- It's now a church for..... Well go and see yourself.
- gravesend dont have any cinemas now. the old one is now a church. nearest one is bluewater
- Bluewater... or ya got that shitty bangra one near kings head
- I'd rather go to Bluewater cos its better
- no cinemas anymore
- GONE!!!!!!!
- jus go bw
- The only cinema we had in Gravesend has now turned into a help group centre so that's a waste of time again you gotta travel either to strood Virgin next to Amadaous or Bluewater
- BUILD us a new cinema complex- - -here! and an ice skating rink....yeah COME ON there,s f++K all to do in this town..
- The only half-decent leisure activity in town is the Bowling Alley. The cinema has leprosy.
- im NEVER goin in gsend cinema EVER agen...EVER....does that say enuff!?
- run down old rat infested ciema-ish place which they have now turned into an indian cinema
- i woulnt go oiut of my way to go ther i only go 4 night life an pubs i dnt shop there
- our coloured cousins purchased the cinema and for a while all they played was the likes of jahariirara vs bakinder until the rest of us got the arse about it and complained so now they play allsorts though noone bothers and at those prices is not difficult to understand why
- Bluewater`s better coz g`sends is rubbish
- EMD Town Ctr. Run by Indians, so have bollywood on 2 of the 3 screens. Imperial Bowling by ASDA is pretty good, especially on music nights, when you bowl in UV light and all the pins and balls glow!
- there used 2 b a half decent cinema until sum1 else bought it now its crap!!!
- EMD cinema
- theres is a small cinema that plays a mix of indian and western films. its a littel grotty but i recomened it b/c its cheap
- what cinema now the english aren't allowed in if it were the other way round it would be racist
- There is a cinema in gravesend its a nice cinema which doesn't seem to have thatmany people go anymore mainly i think because of the bigger cinemas.
- Bengally Film Festival, give us back our cinema
- We have 2 travel to Bluewater now to see a film because the cinema has been taken over and there isn't ne English films being shown which I think is out of order. (I won't go into that one though because I'll end up getting p****d off again!!)
- haha - abc in towns gone indian. might as well go to bluewater
- very sad that our cinema has been sold, anyone with no transport or little money will find it very difficult to take their children to the expensive cinemas like bluewater and lakeside
- Why is it we have to be asian now to see a film in Gravesend - come on - aint that racist
- All the latest BOLLYWOOD BLOCKBUSTERS or,there's always BLUEWATER{FUCK IT}just think star wars ghost busters even my little pony all gone to shit no lord of the rings or mad max 4 gravesend cinema {rip]has fallen to are ethinic friends and sadley unless you speak punjab your not likely to see another block busting film in gravesend again
- URGENT WARNING! The Odeon cinema chain has sold the ABC cinema in Gravesend. In a public notice it make it clear that under the contract of sale the new owner cannot shown English language films. This action is likely to make the cinema an unviable business and could cause it to close entirely. If you are opposed to this deplorable action by Odeon Cinemas (attempting to force people into out of town multiplexes - including those run by the nice people at the Odeon Cinema chain) I suggest expressing your concern whichever way possible to: Odeon Cinemas HQ: 020 7321 0404 and the Gravesend Reporter Newspaper: 01474 320753.
- the ABC cinema in gravesend is the most dismal place on earth.........not only does it smell of god knows what, and chewing gum thrives there like a weed, but the chairs are positioned so you cant see over the persons head in front of you, and the chairs are itchy.
- Gravesend - Humble, Dusty, covered in chewing gum and smelly and that's just the usherettes! A home from home!
- Gravesend Cinema should get an award for the worst cinema ever. The sound quality is crap, the seats are very itchy and I wouldn't like to think what they put in the popcorn. My advise is save your money and go to Bluewater or Strood's Virgin. They set the standard or real cinema.
- Gravesend cinema breeds chewing gum, you cannot fail to leave covered in it...yuck!
- What is the point in forking out extra money to go to Bluewater when Gravesend's cinemas are fine and very cheap.
- Gravesend cinema is the cheapest and probably the best
- Oh - The wonderful Gravesend cinemad with 13 seats per room, everyone of which is torn up and ripped apart.
- ABC in town- its well pooper
- Hoyt cinemas at Bluewater is pukka but Gravesend cinema is pants.
- ill never go to gravesend cinema again last time i went was to see lethal weapon 4,the sound kept cutting out and the film stopped a couple of times
- Gravesend Cinema - cheap & cheerful. If you are fed up with paying £6 at Virgin or
Bluewater then this cinema at £3 a go is for you!
- The Cinema in Gravesend is crap, People only go there if they are skint and are bored sitting at home. Its uncomfortable and everyone sneeks to the back for a fag and its never quiet enough in there to enjoy the film!
The Bowling ally is about the only decent thing in Gravesend, but can be expensive.
- Crap, simple as that. Go up to bluewater, expensive but you can pop up the sports bar afterwards.
- Go to Bluewater of virgin, Gravesend cinema is possiably the worst around
- new cinema in Bluewater
- The abc at the top of town is about the only one, and that is absolute s**t
- There is a Cannon Cinema with 3 theatres. It's quite good but overpriced at £4 (last time I went) for all (adults and children etc...). There is also Ten-Pin bowling to be had at the Imperial Bowling Alley which, I think, is along the Thames Way on the West side of town.
- Reasonable cinema, but very limited choice of film. Anything not starring Jim Carrey is a no-no. Expensive bowling alley too.
