The Worst Things in Hackney, Greater London*
The entirely missable and worth mentioning because of it
You can tell us more about Hackney.
The Worst Things
- murder mile - which used to be so safe - and the cosmopolitan outrage that was so peaceful before the druggies and the yardies took over and why is Hackney police station there ?
- islingtonification and all the whingers who cant stop moaning about how shite it is supposed to be. lived here over 15 years in all parts of the 'burgh and still love it. never been mugged or burgled kids born here & thriving at school here. the relentless poverty that still lives on in large but diminshing pockets and grinds people down.
- Its reputation and the corrupt council. Everyone who has not been here before knows that Hackney is a violent and dangerous place and are quite surprised when they find its actually not the Bronx, though there are places I would venture to at night with extreme caution. But a bit of street wisdom goes a long way. As for the council, sack 'em all, it brings shame to this area.
- Parking outside controlled hours (Saturday 10:00pm) and being issued with a PCN ticket!
- The way the council continuously shoots itself in the foot - and I know the council is just the people we vote for to shoot themselves in the foot on our behalf - so really I mean the Hackneyite's ability to pluck defeat from the jaws of victory with such boring regularity. Come on! It aint a bad place for goodness sake!
- Just take a look! What a cess pool, I left twenty years ago for sunnier climes. Then, it was just a dump, now it's unlivable. Three cheers for the lying, parasitic, communist politicians who allowed this to happen.
- Never five minutes from a pimp/whore.
- Hackney Council, corrupt evil dodgy gangsters

and the fact that most of the people are inbred, uneducated, insane, violent and have terrible taste.
- dogs shit
- The Litter. Go up Kingsland road at anytime of the day and the amount of crap strewn about is simply breathtaking. Partly the Council's fault, partly the residents who don't give a toss and don't seem to mind shitting where they sleep.
The violence - plenty of black-on black, Yardie related murders. Make sure you don't get caught in the cross fire. Getting mugged is likely
The buglaries - it will only be a matter of time until your house or car is done over
WARNING: Don't live in Hackney if you intend to have a family. Schools, medical and nursery provisions are diabolical
