Pubs in Halesowen, West Midlands*

The place to go for a lazy afternoon, pub quiz or last call

You can tell us more about Halesowen.

Pubs
  • What's wrong with CAMRA types? The Waggon & Horses on the Stourbridge Road is full of old gits and serves very good beer. Children might prefer alcopops or fizzy keg lager, but its what the grown-ups drink. The Hawne Tavern, just around the corner is even better, mainly becasue it's not so bloody pleased with itself, and just serves a good pint.
  • if you want to find a decent pub then you have to go across the border into birmingham halesowen is crap for boozing the nightlife is pathetic.
  • the woodman has been refurbished now and is a decent place to drink. not that filthy hole it used to be full of stinking bikers good job.
  • Don't Hold your breath, starting from right up by clent is the Badgers Sett, then across over to the Foxhunt Harvester (worst manager in the world) then coming down towards the town center there is The Maypole, The Rose & Crown, The Hare & Hounds, The Hasbury Inn (aka the Beehive) The Nelson, The William Shenstone Wetherspoons and The George, back out the other side to The Wagon & Horses, The King Edward, The Snooker Hall, Benjamins, The Button Factory (aka The Huntingtree) The Lutley Oak (aka The Mill) then up towards the motorway is The Royal Oak, The Stag & 3 Horse Shoes, The Cobham Arms, The Old Crown & The Black Horse.
  • PICK's - a proper black country pub, with a wonderful welcome. I think all the other info about Pick's is a little dated, yes it was a rough pub but not any more. The Wagon & Horses, propr beer. There isn't really another welcoming pub in Halesowen. If there is I haven't found it!
  • The King Eddie, open all hours
  • Can't go to the Wetherspoons anymore as my 18 year old son now goes there!!
  • Wetherspoons for no questions asked, just gotta keep yer head down, billy picks for a broken skull, Benjis for Pool, if you can get the old gits off the table, Porters if you're desperate and the Woodman as a total last resort...!...oh and the waggon THE coolest place even if it is full of camra types.
  • The Samson and Lion is no more - closed and not re-opening. Don't knock Billy Pick's - it's a proper pub.
  • royal oak, kings highway, full moon,
  • Most of the pubs in Halesowen are absolute shite. Once upon a time there were a few exceptions. Now there aren't.
  • The Lutley Mill for the unbearded. No decent comfortable pubs where you won't get glassed.
  • The Button Factory admits no-one without at least 55% acne coverage.
  • No decent pubs. Go to Stourbridge.
  • benjimans is ok on friday nights they have a disco upstairs that is full of old slappers go up there and your bound to pull a granny. porters used to be o.k but since the new manager took over it's gone from bad to worse! weatherspoons pub is full of scag heads from the council flats up the road but it's ok for a cheap drink if you can last more than 10 minutes in there but if you want a real good night jump on the No 9 bus into bham you won't have a bad night up there!
  • just about everywhere in halesowen is crap thats why everyone goes into birmingham but if you got to drink anywhere in the place which you should'nt go to benjimans or porters which are pretty ok for in the week. or theres somers sport and social up the road where your sure to find the likes of jon boy a.k.a [j.walton. fat criag. g smith. paul downing. and louchy! there a bunch of tossers!
  • the hole of halesowen is proberly really crap! and the best place you can drink is the weatherspoons pub or the porters for a good old fashoined pint but if you really want to pull an old slapper get your self up to benjimans on a friday night they have a club upstairs and it's full of old slags who are up for it! well thats if they let you in i think you got to be over 40 to get in there but the only way to have a real good night is to get the number 9 bus into birmingham where your gaurenteed to have a top night weather your a mad pill head or a piss head! theres somthing for everyone!
  • The William Shenstone is not very nice.
  • all of then ive been served in and im only 15
  • The Woodman has a youthful clientele. It is also stuck in a 1970s pine time-warp.
  • The newly opened WETHERSPOONS Pub was great for at least....20 minutes, however anybody that is known to the local Rozzers now makes it a priority to attend on a Saturday night and ruin a pleasant evening!!!
  • The Lyttleton Arms is known locally as "Picks" referring to a previous landlord from time immemorial named Billy Pick. Your referance to it's way of life is reasonably correct, the customers have been trying to knock it down for years!!
  • if you think the Lyttleton arms is bad,you should go to the Samson and Lion on the Stourbridge Road ,where you are sure to see the pub go up,especially on a sunday night
  • Another pub worth a mention is the Waggon and Horses on Stourbridge Road, a Real Ale pub that isn't full of old beardies! There's also the Lighthouse on Coombs Rd - an outlet for the Welsh brewers SA Brains.
  • Porters, Benjamins, and the new Weatherspoons that they are building in the town centre. There's also The Lyttleton arms, which is a hellhole dangerous place and should be ripped down right away.
