- Local theatre/variety group Startime Variety stage entertaining shows at the Cornbow Hall twice a year - Panto in late Jan/early Feb and musical variety shows in July.
- Hayley Green should be seperated from Halesowen. Us Hayley Greeners, pride ourselves in our 4-car, 4 bedroomed, £400,000 houses. We all know what flows DOWNhill into Halesowen.
- There are too many council properties in Halesowen which means that crime, dirt & rudeness goes up while politeness, friendliness & the stock of most shops goes down.
- Nagasaki should have been left alone & Halesowen been bombed.
- Apparently, Halesowen Town Football Club have played at the same ground "The Grove" for longer than any other football team in Britain. Perhaps this says something about Halesowen's respect for tradition. Probably this says something about the club's serious lack of success.
- I was lucky enough to have attended Halesowen College on an English course in the late 1980's and had this brilliant tutor called Chris Collins, a mild-mannered married man who lived in Redditch with his young wife. All throughout the course he kept up in fits of laughter whilst still teaching us to an acceptable standard. He later moved to London and changed his name to Frank Skinner.
- the flats are the heroin capital of the midlands which is why it is nicknamed brown town
- Very Middle Class area, which is really up it's own arse. Us residents know that we are better than any of the other surrounding areas, and we flaunt it.
