My paternal grandfather was Frederick Dunnett of Quay Street, Halesworth who was married to Ethel Maud Rayner. From a copy of their marriage certificate, witnesses were Robert Rayner, William Rayner (a policeman) and Agnes Maud Rayner. We have family living in Halesworth and are always visiting from down here in the south where the people are so stuck up and un-friendly. We want to find somewhere to settle where we can chill out with the locals and hopefully add our own degree of madness to this diverse village! Is there anyone out there who has a property for sale with either a very large garden or land...(to keep chickens et c)...along the lines of THE GOOD LIFE!!!!! We have funds to purchase as soon as we can find something. Have found the estate agents to be worse than useless in helping us with our search..we think it's becaus they view us as outsiders..or perhaps we are becoming paranoid?? If anyone in the norfolk area is interested in my blades just give me a bell. I only want about �75 for them, they're �160- �180 brand new. The bearings are all ok.Wheels are slightly egged but still cool to ride. They have a few scuffs but nothing damaging. I AM IN THE PROCESS OF TRACING MY FAMILY HISTORY. I BELEIVE THAT THEY ORIGINATED FROM MUTFORD OR GREAT YARMOUTH. IN ABOUT 1849 FANNY ADAMS RISING MARRIED ROBERT BARKER RAVELL, FROM THIER MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE I HAVE LEARNED THAT THEIR FATHER'S NAMES WERE WILLIAM RISING AND SAMUEL BRIGGS RAVELL . I THEN BELEIVE THAT SHORTLY AFTER THEY MOVED TO THE HACKNEY/POPLAR AREA IN LONDON WHICH CAME UNDER MIDD LESEX, AS THEIR CHILDREN (SAMUEL, ROBERT BARKER (MY GREAT GRANDFATHER), FANNY JANE, ALICE & ESTHER RAVELL) WERE BORN THERE (ACCORDING TO THE 1881 CENSUS). I BELEIVE THAT THE RISING FAMILY MAY HAVE CONTINUED TO LIVE IN THE NORFOLK / SUFFOLK AREA AND MAY STILL BE THERE, BUT I AM NOT CERTAIN ABOUT THE RAVELL FAMILY.
