Cheap Food
- i like sagras for a curry after a night out. midnight express for if ure skint b4 u get in taxi right next to it
- The usual Gregs. That's really the only place to get food on the hoof.
- Mid Night Express for your 3am cheesy chips
- Moorlands in Bradshaw is really nice as is the Fleece in Barkisland
- every street has a take away honestly

- Villa Margherrita. Ripponden
- Though you'll have to cooke them your self, go to the fruit mongers in the centre of the indoor market underneath the clock. Always many 50p bargains and also exotic fruits and vegetables.
Haven't tried it yet but have heard good reports of the new Buddhist cafe on North bridge.
- just inside borough market,near merrie england, maid marions. top take away tcakes. fantastic hot turkey and pork. i never miss this when i'm in town.

- Food. Really good food to be had at Bentleys Restaurant (Shelf) or Travellers Rest (Sowerby Bridge). Neither are cheap and both best booked in advance
- pizza and wine serves up some very intersting varieties. mmm...pizza....wine....:)
- Poor in town, go out of town to some good pubs, (millbank) or get to a good restaurant (Gimbals)... if you like mongolian bbqs try Temujin (Sowerby Bridge)

- The Hong Kong below the Acca is a huge chineese, but that is about the only notable place. Pizza Hut (next to the Abby Nat) and Deep Pan (opposite the Acca, on Town Hall Street), Pride of Whitby (just down on the corner where the Tube Bar is - next corner down the hill from the ABC), McD's x2, KFC and Burger King.
- paradise pizza,s is now shut and gibbet street in general is really abit of a no go area after dark, just read the local papers.
- The sizzling steaks at the Bass House and the Plummet Line are the best in the world. Great onion rings too!!!
- no goood restaurants to eat in the day, except pizza hut but it gets boring.

- Mr. P-P-P Pizza, ask for Rachel.
- Try the China palace in Elland for the best chinese food you will ever taste.
Their barbacued spare ribs are excelent.
- A haddock butty from 'The Pride'. Worth coming home for
- Food Therapy on Northgate provides the best lunchtime take-away snacks in miles, much of it vegetarian.

- Deep pan pizza offers good value.
- Piece Hall chicken butty - on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday you can get a better bite to eat than in the Piece Hall where you can get your hands on a bbq chicken sandwich with sage & onion stuffing - absolutely delicious and first thing I do when I get to the UK!!
- Get Stuffed kebab place, does excellent chilli burgers
- the new thai restaurant opposite cow green car park
- Lots of it, ranging from vans on street corners to top quality Indian restaurants.
- Pizza Santino on Queens Road, the best pizzas in town (try a Mexicano) and lovely kebabs.
- Burger King, McDonalds, Kentucky Fried Chicken and loads of chippies around.
- Curries galore!
