  • The Butchers Arms in Ripponden, Sowerby Bridge has live music every Saturday night, playing a variety of music styles

  • The Royal Oak has local bands on every weekend
  • The Royal Oak Pub, there are always some cool gigs on there, for love and , morning glory and others!! I am mates with the drummer from for love and so i go there quite a lot!
  • The puzzle hall in Sowerby bridge, has a widw variety of music to suit every taste. Brilliant atmosphere and top notch beer.

  • The Cell is probably the classiest music venue in Calderdale, Its Live bands Fridays and Sundays are the perfect Town centre spot and a change from the Dance music Disco venues

  • The Puzzle Hall Inn in Nearby Sowerby Bridge often has some very good folk bands on. Square Chapel and the Victoria Theatre host many and varied concerts. And the Trades Club in Hebden Bridge may be wierd but it often has good bands.

  • Zoobar for local mini bands. Leeds uni's and manchester for any one remotly big!
  • the band stand in the piece hall sometimes has the pulse there but its usualy full of dickheads
  • zoo bar now has bands every saturday and its free in with special flyer. alot of oubs no host band nights.
  • Vesca are playing the Zoo Bar on the 15th November. A rock band with some good stuff with influences like Pumpkins, Nirvana. Go to www.vesca.net, there's MP3s etc as a taster.

  • Baracuda formally known as Bar Centro is definately the number 1 pub/club to get your night started on a high, its quite a classy joint with good music.

  • Get yourself to Bar up,Union Cross Yard behind McDonalds on Saturday 21st September for a CHEAP buzzing night out. Free entry aswell as two for one on loads of bottles including stella and the tequila shots are only £1! BARGAIN!!DJs Tony Ellis and Adam Philips, who have been playing the US sound for over 15 years between them are making a welcome return with a night of playing proper house, from 1996 classics to the newest American cuts.
  • Trades club in Hebden Bridge does have a lot of guest appearences nowadays probably about 3 weekends a month
  • The Ukie Club - next gig 29th June
  • Hebden Bridge has the Trades Club, and the Acca say they have guests every so often...but that has yet to be seen...
  • atlantic studios is cool, for small local gigs, and theres the victoria theatre for bigger bands but we dont get n e 1good playin there. go to leeds, manchester for bigger n better gigs.
  • The Revival has some decent cover bands. Try the Puzzle Hall in Sowerby bridge they have excelent Indi/Rock/Jazz/Blues bands playing live, Very small venue but very loud. Pam the landlady is sound.
  • The Running Man pub used to have some good punk gigs...
  • The Victoria Theatre gets a few bands, eg Terrorvision. Nice small little venue.
  • Not too many of these - as far as I know.
