- Halifax is depressing, go to huddersfield the night life is better, the people are more mixed and different cultures are more widely accepted. Plus the colleges are better in Huddersfield
- It would be great if... They made the indoor market into a REAL shopping center
- The traditions festival is an international folk festival held in the town and the Halifax Charity Gala is always a lot of fun.
- Halifax sucks? It's not that bad? Where do you come then, smart arse? I suggest you change your information.
- there arent any decent public loos so try popping in2 macdonalds or sumwhere.
- Halfax has no redeeming features, there is no decent shopping area, a lack of culture, no cinema. The town is fast becoming an area for Honda CR-Xs, XR3s, Novas and such to demonstrate their amazing ability to blacken their windows, sink low in their seats, chop their suspension springs so their backsides scrape along the floor, and play music with the bass level being disproportionatly high.
Oh, there is the Halifax (HBOS) of course now that is one of the main employers in the town.
Some of the housing areas outside & around the centre though are quite nice and are definately not in-keeping with the backwards mentallity of the coucil... I guess those people pop to another town for their supplies!
- some one please finish off what they started, either that or fucking burn it to the ground!
- Everybody who EVER moves out of this place ALWAYS comes back sooner or later. Unless they die first.

- Halifax is a good day out, and for its size, it is very lively, much livelier than what you might think.
