Cafes and Coffee Shops in Halstead, Essex*

You can tell us more about Halstead.

Cafes and Coffee Shops
  • there are a few greasy spoon cafes which do fantastic meals ( be warned the pictures in the menus are deceiving... THEY ARE HUGE MEALS :D ) - the night club scenarios doubles up as brambles coffee shop during the day but a standered sandwich will probably put you in your over draft
  • Dickens cafe is in a lovely setting by the River, downstairs in The Mill. You can go in there for just a coffee and cake, or have breakfast, lunch, sandwiches, or evening meal. Only drag is that it's closed on Mondays. White House is a nice respectable cafe in a medieval building. You can't speak very loudly in there, as everyone would look at you. Very quaint. The best restaurant in Halstead is the newly opened Prezzo. Gorgeous Italian food, and excellent service. The Thai Restaurant is also good, and so is the Chinese, Greek and Indian. In fact, all the restaurants in Halstead are very good.
  • Absolutely LOADS of places to eat in halstead... all down the high street, from sandwiches and baguettes to greasy spoon type places, to traditional roasts and full breakfasts.
  • 'Dicken's' cafe, come on, Halstead was never meant to have poncy places like here and Whispers; even if they try and be humourous by calling it 'Dick's'. I like Brambles, but that's shutting soon. Blacksmiths tearooms was wicked but now it's a Greek taverna (?!) hmm just what was needed in a small town
  • The white hart serves proper coffee, makes a nice change.
  • All crap.
  • theres panies cafe, dagwoods, weavers court, the blacksmiths and bramballs
  • PIANO BAR
  • that one near roses
