- Moorpool Estate, quaint stuff
- The village atmosphere
The ease of reaching the rest of teh country (train or bus to city centre, thence to the rest of the country and the airport for the rest of Europe)
Closeness to the Uni, with its excellent libraries etc
Bond's book shop (formerly Hooper's) - small but with a great stock, wonderfully knowledgeable staff, and amazingly speedy execution of orders ... quite close to WH Smith's which used to have a great selection of "popular" books.
Rudell's jewellers' shop (lots of yummy, viciously costly, but really yummy stuff up to and including things on the scale of grandfather clocks). If you spend into four figures a year they offer a discount ... if you ask!
- Henry Wongs, Buonissimo!, the Chinese takeaway opposite the Vine, Queens Park. my house!
- The bingo hall
- Although so near to Birmingham city centre in a way Harborne is still like a village and there are some really cute old fashioned parts and the best thing of all....The Harborne Mile!!!!!
