Cheap Food in Harborne, West Midlands*

Corner eateries, quick bites and the local chippy

You can tell us more about Harborne.

Cheap Food
  • Off-shoot of afore mentioned Valentinos is the trendier three-year-old (2004) Buonissimo hard by the library - a number of awards, very good food, but one of those bare wood places that are so noisy. There's anotehr room upstairs sometimes used for hen parties and such ... dangerous I'd have thought. The best Indian (actually Bengali and Afghani) is Tawa, next door to Fentons on teh S side of the High near HSBC (up an alley, so watch out for it) - teh food's as good and as varied as - and even cheaper than - in Harborne Tandoori (in South St, as mentioned above) which we locals still call Number Ten as that was what it was for years after Michelles (also above) moved out.
  • the cardamom, near the end of the high street, next to that toy shop, has really good, quite cheap, indian food, but isnt liscenced so you have to take your own alcohol.
  • Henry Wongs, Buonissimo! and the Chinese/Thai takeaway opposite the Vine pub are the BEST!!
  • chinese indian
  • Micheles for posh French, Valentinos for posh Italian, Henry Wong for posh Chinese, California Pizza Factory for excellent pizza and lots of chippies, chinese takeaways and South Street balti house for late night munchies!
