Cinemas
  • there is a ciniworld in harlow, its nothing special but it does the job! ive never had to "Q" for long for a ticket, its clean and on par price wise with any other cinima i've been to.
  • If you want to see an intelligent movie, the likelihood is it won't be playing at the Harlow Cineworld. If you're not too choosy and don't mind irritating teenagers poncing about through the movie and playing with their mobiles, and outrageously overpriced food and drink, then you're laughing. Personally I go the multiplex in Stevenage. Bigger seats, better behaved audience, better choice of movies.
  • Harlow's cinemas offer everything anybody who only watches Hollywood blockbusters could ever wish for. If you've ever fancied seeing an arthouse/foreign language film, you're really not the sort of person who belongs in the town.
  • We used to have 2 cinemas, but since the Odeon in the town centre closed down, we now only have the one at the queensgate centre. Its ok though it has quitesa few screens. Make sure you to eat and drink before you go in there though. Because for a bag of sweets and a soft drink it costs about a grand
  • Stortford cinema is tons louder than harlow
  • Cineworld. After they closed the odeon you have to walk mileage to get there, through the town park...DAMN YOU!
  • cineworld in queensgate centre is cool, nice staff.
  • closed and definatly do not attend the UGC,CINEWORLD cinema on edinbough way
  • Odeon up the town centre or UGC up by soccor sports and b&q
  • the odean, lets face it has seen better days, with a not to brilliant array of films on offer. UGC in Edinburgh way seems to have smartened itself up since the new development work has gone on there.
  • GET OUT OF HARLOW, IT IS WRONG
  • warrens guide to cinema will take you to the odeon in jobseeker square where after doing a couple of obligatory laps of the high you can sit on wooden 90 degree angled seats." I recommend you smuggle in eight beers to dull the pain of seating as i once did" said warren.
  • Odeon in Town Centre has 3 screens but try the much better multi screen cinema in the Queensgate centre which is constantly changing it's name
  • the one in stortford - very good (drinks holders! :-D) ugc in queensgate(?) centre - good odeon in town - not so good
  • shit! ugc's iz ok, cinewold sawbo is betta
  • Odeon - Small, cramped, uncomfortable but inexpensive, UGC - Win the lottery if you wanna go there more than once a year
  • Odeon, cheap admission and comfy seats, but prohibitely expensive pick'n'mix sweeties (also horrid toilets). Big multiplex at Templefields where they show mostly action films, expensive to get in, nasty seats but has the attraction of a bar so if the film's cr*p you can get drunk. Nothing else.
  • UGC Cinema (was Virgin and MGM previously) Quite nice, Slightly expensive, 6 Screens, Good selection of films. Odeon, in the town centre, used to be around £1.99 for a ticket(All Ages) but has now caught up with other cinemas at around £5 a ticket. 3 Screens, nice seats, lots of leg room in screen 1 which seats hundreds of people.
  • UGC Cinema (was Virgin and MGM previously) Quite nice, Slightly expensive, 6 Screens, Good selection of films. • vigins over priced and the odeons skanky, might aswell dload ya videos of the net!
  • The best bet for a good Cinema is to get out of town. The UGC cinema offered an unlimited viewing offer whilst I was there, but the prices were comparable more expensive than London. The Odeon went through a bit of a face lift while I was there, yet it is much smaller than the rest of the country.
  • 2 cinemas just like any other really...you sit in a crowded or not so crowded room and you watch a film..end of story..or do they have better screens elsewhere or something...i thought a cinema was basically...a cinema!
  • UGC is too expensive but the Odeon is tacky!
  • two of them, over priced
  • odeon/warner...yawn. THANKYOU FOR YOR QUESTIONARRE (NOT)
  • No disabled access allowed at Harlow Town Centre Odeon.Ablebodied people ...avoid this venue at all costs in solidarity to your disabled brethren.
  • Virgin cinema or UGC or whatever its called this week is blantantly overpriced and now that the odeon in the town centre has had a little makeover and comfier chairs installed i would rather go there for half the price, even though there are fewer screens and a bit less choice.
  • We live in Harlow (but not for much longer, thank God!) but we don't like going to the Virgin cinema 'cos it's full of horrible, common Harlow people! We go all the way to Hatfield if we want to see a film!
  • Big and grand, flash furnishings and a bar!expect to pay at least double compared to the smaller and kitcher odeon in the centre
  • Both Virgin and Odeon just show big commercial stuff - the same as EVERY plastic cinema in EVERY town.Often they show the same stuff as each other You need to go into London or Cambridge if you want a bit of variety - or keep an eye open for the Playhouse occasional film programme
  • Virgin Cinema, big rip off cinema, nice inside but way expensive.
  • The Playhouse is once again showing films and has been reopened and is back to being a fully working Theatre, with two performance spaces.
  • Virgin cinemas good but expensive, for half the price you can go to the odeon.
  • Virgin cinema worth a schlep! I no longer live in Harlow but happily drive 15 miles to the cinema. They used to show films at the Playhouse, does that still happen?
  • Do Not go to Odeon - rip off. Virgin - excellent, also cheap with an NUS card.
