Musical Instrument Shops and DJ Gear
  • Tones is a great friendly place
  • Recently i have been looking for a new amp (Orange Tiny Terror) and they are £299.99 everywhere, i knew about Tones music already and have bought many things from there over the last couple of years and been very happy with the service, price and after sales for that matter, but i thought i'd check out the new place Gig Gear as on thier site they listed the amp at the same price and i was interested to see what else the had. When i got thier it was £330.00! they wouldn't price match thier own site! not only that but the boy who worked there kicked me of the amp after 2 minutes. I promptly went to tones, they had it in stock at the £299.99 price point and even threw in some cables free. Think i'll stick with them from now on......
  • Hello, I work in Tones and feel the need to clear up the 'Bass String incident' We sell sets of bass Strings for only £9.99, the strings we sell on thier own are Ernie Ball so are more expensive. We can get in strings that we could sell for a pound each but choose not to as they will sound horrific and as in his case break.

  • Had to add a comment when I saw the negative one about TONES, all I can say is they were REALLY helpful when I went in, they spent time with me and didn't make me feel like an idiot, I bought what they recommended and then found out it was actually cheaper than the next town with a music shop ( i'll not name them!) Peaople must remember that you cannot pay staff and for a shop and be able to charge internet prices !
  • Tones in the Rows is good, nice, knowledgable staff, and a good selection of instruments
  • RE: Tones music in Harlow...avoid these guys at ALL cost. I snapped a bass string and needed a replacement, and they charged me £6.35 FOR ONE STRING! I bought a whole set online for £6, and if I hadn't have desperately needed one, would have done so again. Muzart in stortford charge £2.50 for one bass string, but are closed on monday. Tones are total pirates, the sooner they close down the better...
  • TONES! omg...can you THINK of any other music shops in harlow? no didnt think so...
  • TONES the best quality stuff, bit expensive though
  • Tones is the place to be. above oxfam next to the liquid shop
  • only one and its by market and thats still shit
  • There is a decent guitar shop up at the Rows in Harlow Town Centre, near Avante Garde hairdressers.
  • Tones - really good. I moved to London just as it opened. Drat.
  • there a new shop up over millenium
  • BREAKING NEWS!!!! Harlow, after being without a music shop for years now has a brand new one. Its called Tones Music Store and is upstairs in the Rows overlooking the market.. It sells all kinds of guitars drums keyboards you name it - and really friendly staff!
  • Used to be a good guitar shop at Bush Fair but it's now closed down
  • do not go to muzarts in stortford. i have been told they are terrible and dont provide good service at all. i got my axe from london, but chelmsford or somewhere could be just as good. some areas of london have about 6 guitar shops in one road! (GO THERE!)
  • One guitar shop at Bush Fair (ugly shopping centre full of foul-mouthed children and needles) which used to be alright but no longer sells bass guitars and has been restaffed with morons. However, Harlow has a healthy underground music scene (despite having no good clubs) and all kinds of instruments are available from geezahs dahn the pub.
  • Umbrella in a swimming pool, useless. Most people who do want to play get their instruments from outside the town.
  • machinehead music closed about 4 years ago now.sadly in such a boring place like harlow the intelligent ones of us were very upset to see it go.
  • Khatmandu...no can do. Do you think people in 'arlow appreciate music?n/
  • some little place in bush fair, bit scary looking
  • guitar gods are thin on the ground since Machinehead upped and left for the roll and roll metrepolis of hitchin.
  • Machine Head Music at Bush Fair, loadsa guitars.
  • Machinehead Music is in Bush Fair, one of the 'Community Shopping Areas'
