The place to go for a lazy afternoon, pub quiz or last call

Pubs
- In memory of Anthony's food when he and Jilly ran the Coach and Horses. What a shame.... Back to 'Chicken Ding' :-(
- The Golden Cross is a bit of a local rowdy pub, The Coach and Horse has the best of both worlds in its 2 bars, calm and quite sophisticated in the lounge bar and local village idiots in the public bar amongst the straw, cows, sheep and hunting dogs.
- THere are two pubs. The Golden Cross and the Coach and Horses. They are both nice but the Cross is nicer, only if you can handle the bitch of a landlady. Lots of people domt go in the anymore because she has a tendancy to kick off at the ones that aren't wonderful or rich enough for her. I hope that you are reading this Jane because you could do with learning some home truths.
The Cross has got abig back garden and acanopy that you can eat and drink under which is really nice. It's also got a pool table, a darts board, a pinball machine and table football too!
The Coach is nice to, better to go in the ;lounge though 'cos you get all the idiots in the bar surrounding the pool table.
- There are two pubs in Harvington. One is called the Coach and Horses, this is on the bottom road through Harvington and one called the Golden Cross, this one is on the top main road through Harvington. If passing through the village, the Cross is the one that you see first.
In the Golden Cross you can get good beer, good food and (if you know the right people!) have a good time.
A pint on bitter in the Cross is about £1:65, half a lager is 95p, Cider is about £1:85, a coke is 75p for half a pint or a pound for a bigger
glass. The food there is good but perhaps a bit over priced. You can have anything like Steak (£7:95) or chips (£1:50), sandwiches and rolls (£1:25 - £2.00)
or you could ave pasta, anything thats on the board really! The deserts are sexual!
The good thing about the Cross is that it has some special offers on the food. On a wednesday night it is pound a bowl night , where somthing like Chilli and
rice would be £1. On the weekday lunch times you can have a 2 course lunch for £3:50. On a Thursday night tey do 12lb Rib-eyed Steak and chips for just £5:50.
The food wait will usually be quite long which is a down sidw but the up side is that is is always worth waiting for.
They have a beer garden outside which is lovely in the summer. Its got swings and stuff for the kids and also a chicken run!
Pool table, fruit machines and a table football too!
The other pub, the Coach is the same type of a pub but probably not as popular. The pices are roughly the same as in the Cross
but you cant get the same tandard of food there. They do food at the Coach. its the typical pub stuff tough, Pie and Chips ect.
They also have a large garden with more facilties for kids, and more outdoor seating. This pub is nearer to the river and the caravan parks.
The pub also has a lounge which is seprate from the rest of the pub so if a quiet evening / meal is what you want you can enjoy it away from the rest of the pub.
