• OK, to be picky - John Logie Baird lived AND worked in Hastings - he tested his first TV in Queens Arcade, next to MVC in Hastings. He left after a row with the landlord about an explosion (dangerous, these tellies!) and much later returned to Sussex to retire to Bexhill (what a novel idea ...).
