Local Bands in Hastings, East Sussex*

Yet to make it big but definitely worth a listen

You can tell us more about Hastings.

Local Bands
  • Blimey! The comment about The Town Council (1966 to 1968ish) must have either come from Steve Hersee or Pete Robertson as it refers to Brian (Bear) Williams and I'm Chris the guitarist! Just found an old 45 vinyl at my Mum's place and have turned it into 2 MP3s! Those were the days! (Weren't they? Surely!). Perhaps not then. :-)
  • Zucchini were awesome. Heard they split tho.
  • Rumiko Jr are the best band in Hastings. See them at The Smugglers.
  • Pest!! Great looking drummer!!
  • Def Peck from the House of Fix lives in Hastings. House of Fix are a techno/punk band on the Tresor Label. In England they do not play much, but are very big in Europe, Japan and America.
  • Loads of local bands, Keane are from Hastings but we don't like to admit it. Rumiko Jnr, Regular John are just a couple of really cool local bands.
  • Jim crow's grave are popular, so are zucchini and starscream. Recoil are pretty good.
  • Saw a local punk band called sister midnight at the smugglers inn a couple of saturdays ago, had some problems with the sound system but the energy was raw and got me hooked, the vocalist was giving his all whilst the guitar player was literally flaying the strings from his axe with the downward strokes! Dont know much about them but spoke to the singer after and he said it was their first live outing. look out for them if you like punk with honesty.
  • Regular John are good.
  • zucchini great, undertow great, jim crowes grave great,69 mile smile great, redshift, great my so called life great!!!! They all play locally and have large local following!
