Pubs in Hastings, East Sussex*

The place to go for a lazy afternoon, pub quiz or last call

You can tell us more about Hastings.

Pubs
  • The Street has always been good.
  • Walkers, Robertson St, trendy, where divorced women go.
  • Yep its full of 'em check out the tiny side streets for the hidden gems.. The clown hap always been loved and loathed in equal measure. So go make up your own mind.
  • Pig in Paradise!! They do good food too.
  • The FILO is heaven. Fabulous fire to dry off by when Hastings is cold and rainy. They brew their own beer!
  • Never go to the green room the biggest load of shit!!
  • The Carlisle, Blackhorse (Telham), Kings Head in Ore. The Beaconsfield. Grown up people here!!
  • The Adelaide tucked behind West Street and George Street in the Old Town opens it's doors at 4am, in case you're thirsty
  • Weatherspoons is alright. The Pig In Paradise on the seafront is really cool, big servings of food too.
  • Gritti Palace on the pier - where else can you sup a pint sitting in a deckchair watching the sun go down over Beachy Head? Good vibe.
  • Drippingwell cambridge road, traditional fun and not too many "fresh faces" !!!! Fountain just outside Hastings on BEXHILL road, great and fun good music too. Tubman if you want to watch the goths and metal heads moan about their day before headbanging into oblivion!!
  • Although I may be fresh faced, heros is good, the pub around it, The Priory, is big trouble! Don't Go There! The Yelton has a great Karoke, but I suggest you get someone not so fresh faced to purchase the substances.
  • The Tubman is inhabited by many a frightening lesbian. I know. I worked there. However it is a good laugh and the drinks are cheap and the barstaff are VERY friendly...;)
  • anything owned by the wilkes brothers
  • the carlise..that's spelt wrong init?! but yeah well good upstairs 4 parties n even betta, rougher biker downstairs
  • crypt, street, pig, wetherspoons. avoid rest. harpers sucks
  • The Dripping Well - no under agers - but a good local boozer with very good owners
  • TUBMAN(LOAD) AND HARPERS(QUIET)
  • The very different looking Pig in Paradise or Street for pre-crypting eyeing up totty!
  • lots n lots n lots..... old town is cool loads there hav a good pub crawl.... most other bars in town r sort of trendy even the legendary pig has now turned from a completely rock bar to a der der der... FUCKIN WINEBAR!!! every1's a yuppie now, the tubman is now the place for rock..... tho it is pretty crap sum nights full os snotty teenagers........
  • Pissarios. Live jazz bands. Great food. Off of Queens Road.
  • aaaaaaah, they turned the pig into a trendy wine bar!! there's even a dress code, this is hastings wot were they thinking of
  • FILO!!!!!!!!!!!!! for all the old towners!
  • The Pig has been revamped and lost a lot of it's old charm. Try the Dripping Well - just up the road from ESK - an Old Town pub in the New Town. Just a very good friendly local - no pool table, no under 21's, no juke box. What pubs used to be
  • Walkers cocktail bar in the town centre for some marvellous concoctions (and happy hour every day!), The Pump House for ye olde worlde feeling in the Old Town and First In Last Out (FILO) for beer brewed on the premises. Some renovations going on at the moment and new pubs opening all the time.
  • Havelock, notorious for karaoke, steer clear. Rest are good old fashioned english pubs. 'cept the pig of course, attracts a more defined punk/rock/grunge clientele.
  • THE PIG- plenty of "FRESH FACES"
  • The First In Last Out have a really fun quiz night on most Sundays. Always fiddled!
  • THE PIG IN PARADISE!!!!!
  • The pig, The Street Yates for the toilets (they have a whole floor devoted to them)
  • Go to the Street, and ask for a "Posh Hot Chocolate." You'll never look back. The sugar hit is one thing, but you can feel the hormone hit.
  • Yates the street frenches THE PIG IN PARADISE
  • Possibly due to the allegedly massive unemployment and proverty stricken and "astrally challenged" locals, Hastings has a huge number of good pubs. Try
    Pig in Paradise
Busy, good food, frequent live bands.
    The Street
For lots of pretentious chat (about Jazz and stuff) and good sarnies.
    First in Last Out
    Who brew their own beer
    The Carlisle
Bikers Hangout. As everyone knows, If they look fierce, they're probably friendly.
Lots of places in the Old Town.
