  • leaving it
  • Crowd watching after midnight with Curry Sauce and Chips in Castle Square on the weekend - especially if you're lucky enough to get hold of one of those tables and chairs outside Woolies.
  • The best thing about the town: It is friendly and welcoming (apart from the standard weekend night brawls) a great place in the summer and the night life is what you make of it.
  • The worst thing about the town: It can be too quiet in the winter. The night life is limited to two night clubs.
  • Sports Shops: Countys is good, but some of the staff do have a reputation for talking crap. Dragon sports in Merlins bridge is good but a bit out of the town, but this is the best. Other good shops: Sacred space for the weird and wonderful. If you have any queries about essential oils or tarot card this is your place, or any thing like that. Local service shops: Elliott's shop up on Prospect Place (opposite the multi story car park), for all your key cutting, upholstery, carpet fitting, French polishing (also it's my fathers shop). Vaughns in Quey Street, for all things electric. Don't waste you time on the crap that the large chain stores sell. Go somewhere that you can get the service you deserve. John Hayse the butcher up on by the cinema, here you will get good entertainment from John who is a character and good service. Transport: Take your pick from a number of Taxies who all charge too much, buses that run when they like (these are probably the best way of getting about). Best Garage: they will all rip you off.
  • no traffic lights, yet
  • The scenery and the quiteness, also the local pubs.
  • Home cooked food, the lack of law, the easy women, easy access to the sheep!"!!!
  • Has to be the fact that Welsh author, Keith Haynes, one time front man of local punk rock band "Picture Frame Seduction"....used to go to school in Haverfordwest,Sir Thomas Picton School to be exact. His new book released on Oct,23rd,1998 is called "COME ON CYMRU" about Welsh football fans. Picture Frame Seduction released a single (im good enough for me) and an album (The hand of the rider) in 1985. Sadly they split after the death of their guitarist,Mark Bozier. Keith now lives in Gloucestershire. DID YOU KNOW ?. That Graham Mcpherson (SUGGS,from Madness also went to school in Haverfordwest and that as he states himself,Baggy Trousers was written about Haverfordwest Grammar Scool. This is absolutley true.... Some of his family still live in a little village outside Haverfordwest called Hook. Other great things about the town is the massive support the locals give to Swansea City AFC.And of course their extreme hatred of Cardiff City fans. Thats it...hope it helps folks !!!!. Ranto Yanto
  • It's home, after all these years (about 7 now!!) it's still my favourite place to be....RJ's is still a laugh!!
  • Easy going people and the A40 out
