The Best Things in Haverhill, Suffolk*

If you're around, be sure to check these things out

You can tell us more about Haverhill.

The Best Things
  • the Rec; holds events such as the Fair, Circus, Haverhill fate, etc. surrounding public mud footpaths; lots of places to go for walks and biking.
  • Good hard working town.
  • It has a tonne more to do then it did when I was a kid and i'm only in my twenties now...stop ya moaning and get out and enjoy it...
  • the food the booze the birds the streets
  • The bus to cambridge.
  • Haverhill is a fantastic place. Whenever I go out I fell superior and further humanly advanced than the scum I share the smelly, polluted air with.
  • The surrounding countryside villages and towns are very nice, The Sainsbury's is ok.
  • good bye gfhbrejfgrejwigreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeouity5499n8g968u243qijewkgfvdn s
  • Best of all is the will of the population to improve the town and its surroundings. Haverhill is thriving little town that is progressing fast in spite of it's Cinderella treatment by St Edmundsbury Council who unashamedly pour most of the council's resourses into its home base, Bury St Edmunds (Recently over £300,000 for a Hockey Stadium in Bury)and precious little into improving the almost equally populated Haverhill. (St Edmundsbury Council - Please Note!!!). We have a great Fire Station manned by dedicated "retained Firem Fighters a super Leisure Centre, Library, Golf Club, Arts Centre, Bowling, Snooker, Bowls Club (indoor and outdoor), Cricket, Karting and a lot of generous and genuine people. ( I personally collected £169 for the East Anglian Children's Hospice recently in a collection tin outside Sainsbury's in 2 hours on a chilly Saturday) It is a fine town and getting better all the time.

  • Strak
  • Haverhill is home to all my friends and family
  • Snooker club The rec Sports centre Sapphire Majorettes
  • Being close to Cambridge Easy to get hold of drugs Easy to steal from little cornershop on estate cos of no cctv
  • My best friend Hannah who lives there.
  • The Rugby Club!
  • The A143 and the view of Haverhill in the mirror (as you leave) !
  • Haverhill has now been fully bypassed. So there is no reason to go though it.
  • Mum, cats, non-permanance of visits, leaving, library - quiet and non-violent. School - inspiring that it can find the teachers to keep it going, they must be God's angels.
  • Haverhill is a wonderful place to live - I have lived here all my life! I am really fed up with all these rumours about Haverhill being a rough place - hardly anything happens here compared to a lot of places. Take no notice of the people saying bad things about the town.
  • Only 20 mins from Cambridge
