You can tell us more about Haverhill.
Cinemas
- Cineworld 5 screen multiplex due to open 2008.
- We are having Cineworld built at the moment
- one cinema in the town hall, films about 4 months out of date, have to travel approx. 19 miles each side of haverhill to see up to date films
- TYown Hall Arts Centre Cinema.
- There is a cinema...and it isn't as long as people seem to think before films come to Haverhill...not just the popular one either we do get some of the art films too...I'd rather go here and have a drink before walking home than drive to Cambridge or Bury, pay a small fortune in parking, twice as much for tickets and refreshments and then have to drive back again....
Again...I remember Haverhill showing a picture a week on a Saturday morning at the old Youth Centre before it was burnt down, it was the sort of place where you could hear the reels whiring and people were forever running across the front...but it was always full...
- i think i would have more fun walking the dog
- Theres one. If you want to watch something you have to wait about 3 months after everyone else has seen it in cambridge though.
- Go to Cambridge
- dont bother geting out of bed for this
- Only part-time at the Arts Centre
- Haverhill Cinema is out of date, All the Films here have at least been about for 2mths before comin here!!
Wots going on with that then??
- Town Hall cinema-would rather travel all the way to Cambridge to see a film!
- New films at the Town Hall are only 6 weeks (ish) after main release and its cheaper to walk into town having a few beers on the way than driving to Kembridge and not.
- Cinema is a make-shift fiasco in Town Hall, although the entertainments are gradually getting better so we shouldn't scoff too much.
- The Town Hall - although most 'new' films shown here have usually been in the video shop for 6 months.
- I go to the Warner Cinema in Cambridge but I also work in Cambridge so it is closer. Even though the cinema in the Haverhill Town Hall is not that good, it could be improved - but we don't have the space!
