Cafes and Coffee Shops
- De Ja Vu is really great!
- Dé Ja Vu; newish cafe in town, opposite Starburger, apparantly good stuff.
Next Door: a small coffee shop run by the Methodist Church and has lovely home-made cakes!
- There are a few now...Gavins is still in the High Street, good for a Saturday morning hangover cure...
Then there are cafes in Ellis on Queen Street and Bakers Oven on the High Street...
Apart from that we also have Brownies Pie and Mash shop in Queen Street and DeJa Vu the enormously popular sandwhich cafe also in Queen Street...
Then of course there is the Sunshine Cafe next to the Library and Good Friends next door to the Methodist Church on Camps Road...
- shit off
- Dejavu is good... although they think they are more upmarket then they are.
Ellis' fit a few people in there for a coffee and Gavins is good but quite expensive, plus it is upstairs so not for everyone. Has a nice view of woolworths though.
- pie and mash shop nice food but hay gess wot its scruffy
- Try Gavins Grill, High Street (above Burtons) - Perhaps not on Egon Ronay's list, but good food, well cooked, cheerfully served and at a truly affordable price!

- One above Dorothy Perkins, not much to speak of. If it wasn't above ground you'd imagine to see lorries parked outside due to it's transport caff chic.
- You can get a nice cup of tea in Ellis Bakery - unfortunately it only seats about nine people at a push.
However, they are very stingy with the jam in their doughnuts.
