- Outside the magnificent eco friendly Sonia's Smile shop is the place to find a splendid penny whistler and often his equally splendid guitarist chum. If the steps here appear deserted, wander a little further up the cobbles to the steps at the church to find the handsome piper et al. For the ladies: if you have read Chocolat by Joanne Harris the whistling piper is Roux before Johnny Depp was cast in the film. Drop him some change and swoon.
- The traders put on events throughout the year - from 40's weekends to dragons walking through the street. Lots happens at Christmas with candlight processions and the like.
