For cheap Furniture and Beds go to Basic Plus on Seamer Road it's on a turn off on Seamer Road Scarborough North Yorkshire UK. Their Shop is called SOFA. Just check the Furniture carefully before you buy them cause they may be piss or dog poo on them from previous owners of the Furniture and Beds. They may have just cleaned it off. It's only for those on Benefits. Their other business to it is across the road from SOFA that is also Basic Plus it's their main building where there is a Cafe and Students go in from Basic Plus who have disabilities and some are confused about dying cause of their reality disorder and differencies in creed. So watch out. The Staff names are Peter Scott Julia Andrew 1 with white hair Andrew 2 younger looking Avis Turner - Boss Austin Cook - SOFA Boss Martin - Staff Driver You can put things on reserve and then cancel the furniture you've put for receive as many times as you want that will really wind them up. ... more >> Reply

We believe we have a Kershaw Barrett violin, but it is not labelled. How do we verify it? It belonged to my father, who was born and brought up in Keighley, and had violin lessons from Agnes Bailey in Utley in the 30s and 40s. He always said it was a Kershaw Barrett, and that there was one 'just like it' in Cliffe Castle Museum, Keighley. (There is indeed a Kershaw Barrett violin in Cliffe Castl e.) We have had the violin restored and were pleased to hear that it matches text book descriptions of a Kershaw Barrett,though the restorer believed it to be probably pre-1900, whereas the Kershaw Barretts we have read about are usually not as old as this. My family and i have just returned from a weekend in haworth studying the area and many cemetries. My Dad really doesn't have alot of info relating to his family mainly that his father changed his name from widdop to wade before moving to where we live now,my uncle had the alot of information but he sadly died in 2004, his fathers name was fredrick reginald widdop he was the youngest of 13 siblings and Mary was the oldest of these siblings don't know if this small amount of information means anything to you at all, its a bit of a long shot hopefully hear from you soon. We regularly were woken in the middle of the night by footsteps from one bedroom to another and running up and down the stairs. Throughout or 10 years there our family also experienced nothing but bad luck, ill health and contant disruptions. When new neighbours moved into number 62 they knew nothing of our troubles but a medium friend o f theirs was able to tell them that an old man was very unhappy at having passed in our house and was doing his utmost to make life uncomfortable for us. Prior to us owning the house, there were never any children in it. it was firstly owned by two brothers, then by a older lady on her own, then a childless couple who were also plagued and who couldn't sell it to us fast enough. Hello; I am doing research on my family history. In my search I have found relatives from the Oxenhope and Haworth area. What I am looking for is any information on the area from the early 1800's to about 1845. Of special interest is the stone quarry that was in the area.
