"Elizabeth Arden" famous make up Diva and founder of the cosmetics firm of that name was actually born in Copperhouse Terrace Hayle as Florence Nightingale Graham. Her Dad worked at the explosives works at Dynamite Towans. They emigrtaed to Canada when she was 4. Ontario Canada, now claim her as her own, but she was born in Copperhouse!
