- There's the lady who gets on the bus, drunk most afternoons who can never find the change and always gets chucked out at some random stop. Another public transport character is the old man who likes to offer kids 'pop' and has a line impressioned into his head when he removes his hat.
- Star Child is the most harmless local eccentric! Identifiable by his many layers of clothes and assortment of shiny things, this guy also has a young eccentric protege, Adam. Adam is alright so long as you believe nothing that he says and don't lend him any money... for the love of God, do not lend him money! The former can often be found in The Sunken Garden whilst the latter is generally around.. somewhere! Also worthy of note is the guy on his bicycle who hangs around Tesco and talks to himself about killing people with white-spirit. He is identifiable by the smell of alcohol that eminates from him. Do not engage in conversation!
- The old man who looks like an ogre but has a heart of gold (crazy john?) who hangs around Tesco with is bike heckling people
- An old chap who used to play a whistle outside WH Smith now lives in Long Rock and has a website at www.therhythmballadeer.co.uk
- Aah, the days of the old guy playing a whistle outside WH Smith's are now over.
