  • Makosi out of Big Brother 6 (the african girl with the afro wig). And also someone who was in like the 2nd big brother lives around here somewhere. Madonna, Guy Richie, Richard n Judy (or was it the other two) and many other celebrities have residency if not in the wycombe area, bucks atleast.
  • J Kay of Jamiroquai lives in Wycombe. He had police guard his Diablo when he went for his bike test. Timmy Mallet lives down the road in Cookham - He's an artist now. As does Lorraine Kelly (I think). There's a bunch of celebs that live in and around Wycombe but I always forget who! (And why??!!)

  • 80's pop star Howard Jones. Big Brother 2005's Makosi. Lots of celebs live hereabouts like Ulrika Jonson, Scary Spice and Brad Pitt's just moved into the area. Oasis have been known to show up in town when they're recording up the road.

  • LOCAL HERO: Pioneering Inventor Ian Hawes to whom invented a Portable Flood Defence System (1995) that is to replace sandbags in the Future & is on Internal Government Reports. Ian has quoted & joked in the Media "That anyone can be an Inventor", adding " That he's never lived in a shed - but the occassional Recording Studio!!!".. (Radar Abercrombie Avenue) co-owned by Adrian Walker, Bass Player from Mainland Les Paynes former Band. Ian found out about Patents, Copywrite & Publishing Rights by working Part time in the Music Industry, then got wet when the Thames Burst its Banks where he worked full time. Ian is to write a book on the otherside of 40 years old, as he believes other local people could benefit & also have some insight of his Wycombe life through both laughter, saddness & Famous people/friends, to whom have influenced him - Ian now owns his own Company with further Patents Pending..

  • The Osbournes have a house in Chalfont St Peter. Fern Britton lives in Holmer Green. Pauline Quirke lives in Beaconsfield. Ian Magaskall ( weather persenter) lives in Chalfont somewhere. Dennis Waterman somewhere in Beaconsfield. The BeeGees had a house in Chalfont somewhere. Midsomer Murders(Penn,Tylers Green, Penn Bottom and Penn Street), The Vicar of Dibley(Penn and Tylers Green), The Chuckle Brothers(Wycombe, Risborough, Beaconsfield),and upcoming films Nanny McPhee( Penn Street- where I live!) and Charlie and the chocolate Factory(wycombe) have all been recorded in this area. Matt Damon apparently lives somewhere near here. The ECRBB (Eddie Curtis Radio Big Band) performed in this area and Eddie Curtis ( My late Grandad) lived near here.

  • Did you know that in 1954-5 Jean Shrimpton (the model) had a younger sister who lived in Wycombe? My mates and I reckoned she was a doll!! The old theatre in Frogmore next to the railway bridge was home to many up and coming actors of the day. Some became quite famous over the years.
