Musical Instrument Shops and DJ Gear
- planet guitars is a cool shop, nice secondhand stuff as well as new and pretty good prices.
- There's a new guitar showroom in town; it's call BBZGuitars and it's on the Cressex Business Park and online at www.bbzguitars.co.uk. There's also loads of free parking right outside the door.
- I've noticed many people have said Percy Priors in the Octagon , two points to make. Firstly, changed it's name to Rainbow Bridge, and secondly they're now closed. A lot of their stuff got stolen and the went bust. I don't know if they're opening again, but there is no sign of selling the actual shop, at least not just yet.
I use Paradiddles in Castle street for quite a few things. Not actually brought an instrument from there but they sell Guitars (acoustic, electric, electro-acoustic, bass, acoustic bass, classical), Drums (acoustic kits and real, bongos, and they have separate drums and stuff to add onto your kits), Tambourines (Various shapes) they sell things for instruments too, drum skins, strings, capos, plectrums, cases, straps. Check out the website at some point, they have one of those too as to be honest, the actual shop is rather small so a lot of their work is done over the Internet on their website or ebay-shop.
I actually did work experience at Paradiddles too, the manager Phil is a nice friendly guy, and so is his dog Macey, as they've got a shop dog. She's only in on weekdays.
- There's one on the top of the octogon, Percy Priers i believe it's called.
- Paradiddles in Castle Street. The best independant instrument shop ever!!
- Percy Priors is a good all-rounder for things of a musical nature.
- Percy priors and audio t
- Planet guitar's staff are helpful and they have great guitars (some of which you don't see anywhere else)
- Percy Priors is an old stalwart, and Kingfishers are pretty helpful but they're a bit of a way out of town. There's also Paradiddles but I've never had dealings with them so I don't know what they're like.
- Percy Priors, upstairs in the octagon. its really good, got loooads of stuff, a lot of guitars n music books.
- percy priors
- Percy Priors, Dawkes ( not too sure of location. ( but good)
- percy priors.. expensive but good
- paradiddles in castle street, next to ruby moon, real people.
- Paradiddles ( near Ruby Moon) is small but cool.
- Percy Prior is pretty good, guitar paradise (drool)
- Oh go to Percy priors or how eva u spell it, its a phat shop its good for guitars n drum kits no pussy instruments there though, sorry all!!!!
- Um..Percy Priors
- Percy Priors has the best range, but the most jankrottonous staff! gey you're ass to the 'diddles every time clart!
- Paradiddles. The best one.
- Percy Priors in the Octagon Centre - upstairs
- definately Percy Priors, got my bass guitar from there.
- Kingfisher not percy priors
- Percy Priors Octagon first floor.
- Kingfisher on the london road, good prices. Percys in the octagon, but the refuse to stock decent guitars only purple swords signed by american rock'n'roll knob jockeys
- Percy priors, kingfisher music centre....
- I bought my first guitar in percy priors but it's overpriced and staffed by rockers
- that percy prior place in the octagon
- percy's not bad but they only really have ibanez, nice staff but a little expensive. Paradiddles is nice but the size of a shoebox, mainly second hand and a bit old, v. cheap though. Planet guitars in flackwell heath is pretty useless. Limited and boring selection and rather expensive. Theres also one on the London road next the the funeral place but i've never been there, is it called kingfisher??
- It has to be Percy Prior in the octagon its been there forever
- Percy Priers has ace guitars including the Ibanez coffin X which no1 has bought and its bin ther 4 YEARS!!!
- Try Kingfisher Music the London Road. Always has a good selection, reasonably knowledgable staff. Not a huge range but ask them to get you anything you can't find.
- The one in the octagon is quite good. Although the Epiphone sg I got from there has got dodgy wiring. The music shop near the station is crap and only has budget gear.
- percy priors- brilliant for guitars
- There arent n e decent ones apart from the one next to ruby moon, coz we went in to get my drum kit and they were all stoned.. Heavy metal rulez....
- There are alot of people who enjoy playing music and I am one of them. Imayu live in bournemouth but i have alot of friends in high-wycombe,I even have a band called Broken Glass. So we need good instrument shops or we can get the instruments that we need.
- percy priors! definately good
- Percy priors, staffed by either very pleasant guys or very pleasant stoned guitarists. Pricy, but competant. Paradiddles (near the train station: consider quick exit after shops) is food but very small, and you always get the feeling you are buying something that isn't technically theirs to sell.
- percy priars!- who is that man!?
- The ones mentioned below, plus a good selection of mid- to high-end hi-fi shops for some strange reason. Great if you're loaded, or know a bit and want to string the pompous staff along for a while (well, it's something to do).
- Paradiddles on castle street, nice people, good deals and interesting interior design which is worth a look
- percy priors do sell good quality stuff BUT only good to buy instruments from if you are stinking rich! sell good music books
Paradiddles, is the best, bought a guitar recently, The guy who owns the place, Phil, very helpful and does good deals.
- Percy Priors-Octagon
- Percy Priors. Got great guitars and generally knowledgeable staff. And theyll be there if theres a problem unlike the rest which will probably go bust shortly.
Parradiddles is the size of a horsebox but with less horses .. . . .just!
- Percy Priors has been there for ages, and despite having a bit of an expensive reputation, its not strictly true. Generally the staff are very friendly but make sure you have a good attitude too. Besides, youre not gonna find a better selection of guitars for many many a mile. Everyone slags off music shops. Why? I have found them invaluable in the process of buying instruments; and if you are friendly to the workers you are guaranteed a good lifetime service. Stop Bloody whinging.!!!
- Try Paradiddles on Castle Street. The owner, Phil, is a friend and he'll do his utmost to help you get what you are looking for.
- percy-fuckin-priors
- percie priers is great mainly guitars and drums but there is a massive collection of music books of virtually every group solo artists youve ever heard of
- Percy Priors must have been there about 100 years, up in the Octagon. Brilliant for sheet music, if you don't see it ask Chris (with the spikey hair), he'll order it. Oh, always ask for a deal - try Alex, he's very good.
- Percy Priors has the best stock of cool guitars in the country.
It's probably the best thing about HW!
It sells decent gear rather than crappy secondhand stuff for students who'd
rather spend their money on food than their passion.
- Paradiddles, you get good deals on guitars there.
- Percy Priors. Have a spare shirt in the car, you're unlikely to leave the shop with yours.
- Percy Priors....expensive....not very good.....funny looking staff though I'm told that Kingfisher is better for quality instruments Paradiddles on Castle Street is FANTASTIC if a little small - they'll always do you a good deal on second-hand stuff and take part-exchange too. They also run a market stall in town on Saturdays
- Percy Priors at the top of the Otagen Center.
