• Mandarin Duck is an OK chineese restaurant but I feel it is rather over priced for the quality of food. Jasmine is Beaconsfield is 100% better. Fish and chip shop is poisonous and I would NEVER eat out of there ever again! Indian takeaway is good and reasonably priced albeit a little on the hot side of the norm. Kebab van is excellent - late night eating on the way home from the pub was never as much fun. No really the chap that runs the van has got a really good thing going there. The burgers and scampi and chips are excellent and the chicken kebabs are to die for - easy on the Chilli sauce though! The Old Oak is over priced and seriously under quality. Go there if you don't want to have any fun and have the landlord and landlady stare at you all night! No swearing at all, no seats at the bar, no atmosphere, uncomforable sofas and miserable staff. The Earl Howe is good, unfortunately they have just lost an excellent chef back to New Zealand but the food is still quality and the atmosphere is excellent too. Try their sunday roast, it is to die for.
