Pubs
  • I moved to the village 2 years ago, and have given up trying to have a night out in Holmer Green. I didn't exactly get my hopes up in the first place, but, bloody hell, what a let down! Me and the missus were the only people in the Old Oak and it was a Saturday night! There were 2 other couple in the Earl Howe, and that was it. The pubs in the village have the atmosphere of a morgue. I've found it's worth it to pay for a taxi and go down to the Red Lion at Little Miz.
  • I recently discovered the extremely dated version of places to go in holmer green and felt it my duty to update this. After recently moving to the village i have spent time in all 3 pubs, the old oak, the earl howe and the bat and ball and contrary to belief i found the old oak to have a welcoming, desirable atmosphere after the arrival of the new manager and changing of the owner. I have returned on several occasions and myself and my family have had a great time, especially at the recent hawaiian themed bbq. I believe there is more to come of this with regular music nights at the end of every month, the first of which was saturday just gone, (a blues band), which was thoroughly entertaining! The food is also very good with a regular curry night every wednesday, compliments to the chef! Keep up the good work!!!
  • Earl Howe Bat and Ball Old Oak (owner hates under-25's)
  • EARL HOWE
  • I must disagree about the Bat and Ball, Eve will welcome children, teenagers, young adults, the more mature and even the extremely old into her pub with open arms. However, please keep your children under control and your teenagers quiet. Young adults please try to refrain from drinking 15 pints of Kronenburg and Stella - oh and the more mature too. The oldest resident is 94 and still drives himself up there! So all are very welcome if they behave themselves. Pool table and bar snacks. PS. Excellent New Year fancy dress parties!!
  • The Royal British Legion is a brill place to go for a drink. Yeah there might me a few oldies in there but us younger crowd are taking it over! they have a quality pool table, several dart boards and sell a cheap pint!!
  • Bat and Ball, Earl Howe, Manderin Duck, The Old Oak.
  • If you are young avoid the Bat and Ball like the pague, Eve would cut off your legs and stuff em' up your ar## before you got through the door, but for those of you who are too young to hit any of the 3(!) pubs, try the local offy', the Bottle and Basket.
