The Stuff We Can't Fit In Somewhere Else
  • You mention the cultural quarter and say that there is nothing cultural about it. Well in the old chocolate factory are over 160 individual artists and crafts people. They hold an open day once a year. I think that pretty much fills the remit of the cultural quarter. In addition, the Royal Academy is building a new gallery by the canal, it's first venue outside the centre of London!
  • Rod Stewart was born and grew up in Hornsey, and was born the day after, I think, a German V2 Rocket attack near his house, I think close to the Hornsey Art school.
