  • ewen beresfords house, where all the kiddies go to SEE PUPPIES
  • The best building in Houghton has to be Houghton Church. I'm an atheist so not because of its religious meaning, but just because when you've been away for a while, no matter which direction you're returning from, when you see that spire you get that comforting feeling that you'll be home soon.
  • Collinsys shop
  • Peefer were the ginga evo sniffers nock a bout ne names though renni nd joe, Not 2 mention the burnside dogs with the ginga hair they call blonde (CAINY). jst stroll down burnside hill just along from peefer and you might see al the binge drinkers with the leader of the mera peak crew our Scott F stoned to bitz of his 2 hit wonder lung.
  • the dole office - very popular
  • the snooker club
  • THE HUT IN THE PARK
  • The Pet shop, pity so many creatures have escaped and now hang out in the pubs.
  • coop
  • well none really, as every community based building you enter such as the access point and the hive which are both situated in queensway theres always some catch to you being in their building
  • The old rafters that has recently been converted into flats, which are over priced but still very pretty to look at. Also the cars in the car parks. There are so many stories to tell about that building.
  • The Mill and Lamby Lamb Chops' house
  • THE MONKEY BY DICK
  • mautland square used to be the best place to play the legendary gatesy, but sadly the fucking co-op knocked it down. RIP mautland square
  • church was built by the normans- i think.
  • Houghton treatment works at least it gets rid of some of houghtons shit
  • council offices, thats where you get the dole
  • The church must be the best building in Houghton-le-Spring but the old Council offices also hold a lot of history from the old Town Council. The old brewery which is now luxury flats.`
  • The POST OFFICE: Fuels the local economy by cashing the giros of work-shy sets of bastards and benefit scroungers.
  • the hive as they welcome people and the dont condemn people
  • The rafters
  • The Rafters - now executive flats or something.
  • sports complex
  • Mautland SQuare: such atmosphere and character
  • The Burn - QUALITY! (ahem!)
  • The parish church is great. 13th century and big, with a tower.
  • If you look hard enough certian interesting architectural gems exist: Houghton church is reasonably good with an original Norman carved lintol above one of the doorways.
  • Got to be the church.rectory grounds , the council has spent a lot of money on the Park , back to near what I remember as a kid.
  • I would have to say the church,it's the best looked after
  • rafters - Burnt down and rebuilt
