• Houghton Sports Complex now offers a wide range of sports facilities, but it doesn't have a pool, Hetton Sports Centre is the nearest place to swim. I do hear now that Houghton Kepier has been made into a Sports College they will be getting a pool in, that might open to the public. They are building an astro turf there at the moment.

• The rugby club has a couple of games on a week, which the girls from Dairy Lane (not mentioning any names) like to go to to have a good stare. Houghton sports centre which is where the local yobs go to drink outside of it on a Monday night with their bottles of cider.
• Lamby Lamb Chops' sports shop is class, go see him cos I think he gets bored sometimes, he sells all kinds of stuff, like cricket bats
• Eppleton Fc, although not a Houghton name the team is made up of houghton players/legends. play at houghton keiper school and legends such as sid, wally, knighty etc.
