- the biggest mistake the council ever made was demolishing Hoylake's cinema in order to turn it into flats. lets have a moment to remember the flea pit, a magical place where dads could take their kids to the movies whilst havin a pint
- Well there once was a cinema in Hoylake, but now, alas there is merely a block of old people flats!
- there was one, it got knocked down to build regular flats, NOT retirement flats. I do know! they're at the ned of my road!
- Used to be one in Alderly road but got knocked down ages ago to build yet more flats for old people
