Rita Hart was a teacher IN WKRS from I think 1983 to 1986 , she left to have a baby and then taught at a rough school in the wirral and I think she had a shiny silver car and lived in Hoylake if anyone knows her , please can you let me know Thank you ax Reply

Does anyone know of a Beryl Ayre who used and may still live in Hoylake ! She was a house parent at West Kirby Residential School up the road in Meols Drive ! She is quite tanned as I remembered and has or had blonde hair . she used to support me at school as I have mild learning disabilites I would like to know she is ok Reply

Whilst waiting for someone to come and measure up my living room for a new floor I started twiddling with the computer! Somehow I found myself here! My name is David Lawton and I lived in Hoylake from 1969 until 1981 or so. Went to Market street school and later to Calday. Used to drive around in a hearse!! I've not kept any contact with people from that time - only with Grape (Great Ape) who ap parantly died at 30. I'd be interested to know where people ended up. Me? I've lived in Holland since 1983. Hi all I am doing my family history (COWIN) and am looking into my families business that started in hoylake around the 1870s. They were Chimney sweeps and carpet cleaners and were based (and lived) at 96 Market Street I think the business was called 'William Cowin & Sons' and they were the longest established chimney sweeps in Hoylake/wirral. I will be gratefull for any info / photos anyone h as about them or the house they lived in as I don't No.96 is there anymore. It is a Barbers shop and a separate flat above. We bought the property in 1978 and actually lived in it ourselves till 1983. We bought the property off a guy called Foster who ran Fosters coaches in Hoylake in the 70's.
