- Aug 2001 UPDATE TO MY PREVIOUS ENTRY: The "well-known peer" in question was the late Lord Longford who died last week. He had lived with his wife in the village and frequented the Catholic Church for many years. His familier figure will be missed by many in the village, not least by motorists on the A21 who often had to swerve to miss him as he strode across to the bus stop.
- Famouse people and connections include a well-known peer and the relatives of a successful rock star - sorry, No names!
