The Best Things in Huyton, Merseyside*

If you're around, be sure to check these things out

You can tell us more about Huyton.

The Best Things
  • The people & the history
  • Huyton is on the up in 2005!
  • When I last visited ,there was a new Asda -open 24hrs a day.
  • Nothing, Huyton is a Shit Hole.
  • loads of history in huyton!
  • every is a character
  • Nothin
  • People, life
  • Still has to be the people - the soul of the place - the roughest place I know, but I would never change it. Second would be the excellent roadd links - Lord knows why the place isn't buzzing with commerce and culture - it's so easy to get into and out of - too easy!
  • the lack of police the asda garage for its cheapness
  • Huyton is a great place to live I have lived here all my life and would'nt consider moving away.
  • The people here rule and you always welcome when you come home. It's like putting on a pair of old shoes, they may be battered and smelly and wrecked, but they fit right, they dont pretend to be any better and they're comfy
  • The people are warm, friendly, funny and decent as long as your not a snob, Leisure Facilities but more for adults, local primary schools are excellent, There is nowhere like it (have seen and lived in a lot of places)
  • good transport links
  • good transport links close to all other places excellent foroer night stays
  • It could be worse, we are not part of Liverpool nor in our council looney left. For some one who travells a lot, the transport sceen is excelent. Two motorways M57 & M62. Two stations, Huyton and Roby. Zillions of busses from early to late. Taxi firms by the thousand (or so it seams).
  • girls/people/the old village/ pubs etc
  • Huyton people are generally good people and welcome people from outside. the Vill is a good shopping place, and Huyton Boasts the best band of football hoodlums the world has ever seen ( The Huyton Baddies) Fergo, Benno and all the boys, gettin a bit old now, but still gettin down. The New Bus Station is well pplanned
  • The people. Know matter how long you are away from there, when you return it's like going home.
  • Huyton is a vibrant place. Despite what the cleric who was here years ago says. If you treat people like dogs they act like dogs. Huyton has been screwed for years, the housing stock has been allowed to run down, the local shops have closed, there is hardly any local public transport and the parks are slowly being sold to property speculators. Despite this, Huyton people pull through and make the best of it. The people are down to earth, they tell you what's on their minds, you don't need to second guess the situation. They will do anything for you
  • John and Michelle Parry, and their two kids Jade and Hannah. Wonderful people. Used to live on Horrocks Road by the Bluebell pub. They were the first couple I met when I arrived from America. Hospitality at its finest. The Mormon Church on Mill Bank. I don't think that part of town is considered Huyton though. It's by the Jolly Miller
