Cinemas
- I support Operation Condor from 1976,77 South America. All left wingers should not be allowed to exist.
- cini world -used to be ugc near the river and the skatepark
- The one on Cardinal Park is comfy.
- ugc (even tho there such skankes in there! 1.20 for a bottle of coke),,,actually dnt go there its shit
- UGC is great, although rather expensive.. The odean isn't as good but is cheaper.
- Cinema is quite good but pricey (as they all are) comfy seats but gets packed out quite quickly, get there early.
- Odeon is smaller than the UGC but I think it's cheaper and it's a bit nicer. UGC has more fims showing at one time, and after they've finished at the Odeon. The Film Theatre in the Corn Exchange is good for arthouse/indie films.
- ugc is great odeon is great for money
- UGC 10 screens, Odeon, Film theatre at the corn exchange do cool films
- UGC is OK, but the Odeon needs your support! It's really not that bad inside and I feel sorry for them cuz they never get any customers since UGC has nicked them all.
- UGC, nothing better though a tad expensive.
- UGC in the center of town is the most popular, but it can be a little expensive and dont even think about wearing less than a jumper since they have the air conditioning on full blast all year round! Its usually the place we go, esp if you wanna make an evening out of it since liquid nightclub is right ouside. There is also the Odeon which is a little cheaper but not as big.
- I do quite often travel miles to see movies at the UGC, it's excellent. HUGE screens... and lots of them.
- Go to UGC. £2.95 if you go before noon.
- The UGC is good, centrally located (so you can get to the pub easily after the cinema!) or there's the Odeon, also fairly central (other end of town.) GO TO THE ODEON!!! It needs your custom! I feel sorry for it!
- UGC is a great cinema, the seats are comfee! although the food is expensive!
- UGC is better than odeon but you have to sell your grandmother to pay, odeon is ok but a bit skankier. they'll both do though.
- UGC if you're lucky enough to see something in screen 11 its great cos the chairs are so big and comfy.Bit pricey tho. The Odeon is cheap at only £3.50 and the corn exchange shows some rarer films which is good.
- Ugc best cinema. Odeon is just a joke
- UGC's really good, plush seats and all.
- Odeon cheap and good. UGC expensive and good. You choose.
- Flicks is cool
- OK the old Virgin complex is OK, soz cannot remember what its now called!
- UGC is pretty damn good actually, even if you have to take a mortgage out to go there, absolute class.
- UGC is really nice inside and has nice food, and the screens r huge! but the film theate at the corn exchange is really cool becoz it shows loads of arty, obscure films.
- UCG... was better when Virgin owned it!
Odeon... cheap & cheerful, but a bit cramped for leg-room!
- Virgin, (UGC)
- Odeon and UGC, FORMERLY Virgin
- Odeon & UGC Cinemas (Cardinal Park).
- Virgin Cinema is well worth a visit, huge new screens and always a wide selection of the latest films, with a cool small bar upstairs and clubs nearby this cinema should attract the masses!
- Good Virgin cinema on Cardinal Park - loads of screens, and nice bar.
- Better to go to the Odeon on Mondays, it's only 2 quids 90 for everybody
Cornexchange plays good european movies for a change and it's cheap.
Virgin plays the same usual basic commercial crap american movies for 2 months ! Not sure it's worth it to take a pass there
It's expensive during all the week (5 quids) The student discount doesn't work on week wnds of course !
- The Nachos with hot cheese sauce at Virgin is DELISH!
- Two. Both quite central. One is expensive and of good quality. (Virgin)
The other is much less expensive but has poorer quality facilities and selection, (Odeon)
- Virgin multiplex at Cardinal Park is fantastic - clean, bright and comfortable. The Film Theatre in the Corn Exchange is great for arthouse and foreign films. The Odeon seems pretty much deserted since Virgin's arrival - expect it will close soon.
- Check out the new Virgin 11 screen multiplex, good reports of the standard especially the executive seats.
