Buskers, Street Entertainers
  • With reference to that dear old chap KENNY who could often be seen around town it may not come as a surprise that several years on he has sadly passed. A friend i used to go to school with (back in the 90's) once told me that of a sunday he could sometimes be seen at his local church talking about his wife!
  • Just who isk 'karaoke Tim'. where does he come from and where does he go ?.
  • watch the morons at the resource centre on old foundy road. they sit on the pavement. even the cockroaches avoid them
  • Is "Kenny" still alive??? And the group of beggars (organised by a lady of the night) who arrive every morning in a taxi.
  • the bloke martin pender is now playing in the camel foot traders i saw them in the milestone he hasnt got long hair now (in fact he hasnt got any hair)but he's still got a voice like a demon check them out great band.
  • the bloke martin pender is now playing in the camel foot traders i saw them in the milestone he hasnt got long hair now (in fact he hasnt got any hair)but he's still got a voice like a demon check them out great band.
  • The lovely little man who plays the pan pipes and follows me everywhere I go
  • Chicken George - down near Austin Street, he's about 100 and he's forever flashing wadds of cash about - has been known to tear up a £20 note in front of a bus driver because the driver told him the busses didn't give change!!
  • smelly underpass guitar player!!!
  • Get rid of the Greebos they make ipswich untidy
  • localchracters - dillon
  • there was a guy made up just like Sid Vicious who sat on the town hall steps drinking cider every day for at least five years. brought new meaning to the term "No Future". was spotted pushing a pram one time which I guess is progress?
  • The woman playing a key board, usually outside the new superdrug.
  • errr..there's that crazy guy that walks aroung town, don't know his name but i think my mum knows him.........
  • paula - she's this mad woman who hangs around flashing people shouting "i'm an inca" at passers-by
  • Where is KENNY gone ???? Also, who remembers the guy called 'Johnny' ? And the black guy with bald patches who always rubbed his head ???
  • The many kids in the high street can be entertaining at times. There are a few buskers occasionly.ooh, sometimes theres a merry-go-round.
  • Kenny's not a tramp, he has a home, and he's a nice guy if you talk to him.....
  • What are all those wire bending blokes all about.
  • Reference the guy in the Homberg hat, he is called Kenny. There was another guy that used to be seen around town, but I think he has passed on. he was known as Shotputt, due to the habit of walking around town, with his head in his hand, shotputt style.
  • there's somthimes a really funny/wierd tramp guy who sings to people out side super drug of a friday night offering them a swig of his hieneken 'special brew' apart from that they're all dicks
  • not so good as it once was that bloke martin pen was actually called martin pender and went on to play in a band called crosscut saw , and then i think went to essex with a band called hog or something, he used to play up the railway and the earl roberts with crosscut, and was a great blues singer where is he now? ah great old days.
  • used to be okay to busk police never really hassled you, seems to still be okay but it needs more young to do it, it was a shame that guy martin pen stopped he was great.
  • you can always find those bloody Pan Pipe people............
  • Some stupid east european deviants often 'play' panpipes outside the town hall.
  • Those drunk-blokes on the steps to the town hall are quite entertaining!!
  • There aren't any - get that crap about buskers and tramps off the info about Ipswich - I've lived there for 19 years and I've seen about 5 in my whole life.
  • Lots, I think that busking is accepted in the town centre. At least I've never seen anyone being moved on. Some pubs have busker nights.
  • Haven't seen the Peruvian pan-pipe mob in the Cornhill for a while, nor the mad husband and wife keyboard duo. Top tramps include short bloke in a Homburg who talks loudly to himself and the shopping trolley man who always knows the football scores.
  • Saturdays: some lad (about 12 I guess) strumming a guitar to Wonderwall outside BHS. Worth some pocket schrapnel.
