  • There are two cinema complexes in St.Helier (believe it or not). The first being the old Odeon building (now called The Forum) which is the only independant cinema in the island (now that cinecenter at Hotel De France has closed) which has 4 screens of varying sizes. The Forum tends to get the most recent films and charges a decent price for entry. Before Odeon sold the venue it had just been refurbished, so the inside is pretty smart. The main downfall of The Forum is it's size. Despite the building looking huge with loads of storeys, it is actually very small, seating isn't great and there aren't many screens. Which is probably why Odeon sold up when we got.... Cineworld down at the Waterfront! Cineworld is substantially bigger than The Forum and has over twice the amount of screens. Price is about average for what you can charge in Jersey and films tend to come in as soon as they're released in the UK. Despite Jersey being known for being a bit Bumpkin-ish, we take our entertainment seriously and thus we get the big films at the same time the UK does. Granted we don't get all the films the england does, but we get the ones that everyone cares about. If you wanted to choose between The Forum and Cineworld, you'd have to decide what was more important to you: Supporting an independant cinema, or getting a bigger screen and more seating. To be honest, both charge about the same, the only real difference is size. How much do you believe that size matters?
  • Cineworld, but it's a rip off!!! So dont both, just rent a film its much more enjoyale
  • Odeon Cinema - Near town centre, small and cheap, nice cosy atmosphere Cineworld - Large complex on Waterfront, more expensive, but more modern, larger screens but a definite element of 'cheapness' about it Hotel De France Cinema - Small, not a very good offering of films All located in or around St. Helier
  • new cinema, cineworld on waterfront shows good films although they do over-charge
  • Cineworld..overpriced but good
  • Cineworld recently opened on the Waterfront so there are always a load of films being played and most of the time its not full.
  • CiniWorld Multiplex Cinema, The Waterfront, St Helier
  • There is a new cool CineWorld at the new Waterfront complex by the harbour with 10 screens showing all the latest movies.
  • Hmm, anything positive to say here? I don't think so. Hurry up and build a new one.
  • there are 2, the odeon on bath stret and the cinecenter that is situated inside the holte de france.
  • Odean and Cine de France cinemas Bowl Island and Jersey Bowl Quasar at Fort Regent Beaches for Surfing!!!!!
  • Cinecentre (imho, gets the stuff that the Odeon rejects or has had before) .. Odeon .. Rock Galaxy for bowling, or jersey bowl @ st peters
  • The main cinema is the Odeon in town, but there is also the Cine de France (no, it does'nt play foreign films...). There are two bowling alleys in Jersey, Bowl Island is in town and The Jersey Bowl is in St. Peters, which is bigger.
