- If there's one thing that Jersey is short of, it's not musicians!
The ones to look out for are:
Suzys Field- a band who have time and again shown to be one of the best acoustic bands in the island, with cover and original songs of amazing quality and talent, they are definatly one of the best you'll hear in the island.
Element:-although not from Jersey, they play so often at Chambers that they might as well be classed as a Jersey band. A mixed tribute band that can be seen to play anything from Chumbawamba to System of a Down!
Sugertrain: Definatly a band to see as many times as possible as you can! This band is also a covers band but with the edge that they take the songs and make them their own. Playing popular music from 3 decades, they never fail to get the crowd going.
I couldn't possibly write this section without tipping my hat to Jerseys most popular, most sought after for marriage, most Jersey spirited singer. Hedley Le Maistre is his name (possibly a stage name) and making music that every Jersey bean can relate to is his game. Most popular songs include 'Back in Jersey Ay', 'Take That Grouville!' 'Honourary on My Tail' and 'Use the Dunes'. A favourite amoung pretty much everyone, he has become somewhat of a legend.
More bands and singers pop up all the time so keep your eyes peeled for new talent playing in town.
