  • For anybody saying that Music Scene is overpriced, I used to work there and I can assure you that every item is checked against its full value according to record collector's guidebooks and sold at somewhere between two-thirds and three-quarters of that cost - no matter how much you're paying, it's less than its market value.
  • I prefer to get my records from music scene, i dont know why people are saying its over priced i got my last two records - John Lee Hooker £4 and Led Zeplin for £8 mint condition and i would have paid more over the net
  • I'm sorry but whoever did the write up of "musci scene " record shop must have been the owner or been paid by him!! Yes he has a good selection of second hand records but the prices are stupid. God knows where he gets em from but i think his price gun must have a mind of it's own
  • avoid secondhand over priced tat at music scene record shop by a old cinema
  • Unfortunatly there aren't too many independant record shops in St.Helier anymore. Theres always HMV in Voisins on King Street. SeeDee Johns is your best best if indie records are what you're after which is located on Columbrie. Here is where tickets for concerts like JerseyLive tend to be predominatly sold, so it's well worth a look!
  • I was over in jersey recently and found a brilliant record shop in St.helier.its called "Music Scene"and is on Bath Street, opposite the cinema. The guy in there(Damian)will try and get what your looking for if he hasn't already got it.Has CD's,LP's and an excellent selection of singles(45's).service is 1st class.Well worth a visit.
  • is that music
  • Seedee Jons In Bath St is the best independent record / cd shop. TThe staff are friendly and offer personal oredring services for that hard to find record!!
  • HMV, Seedee Jons
  • Since my last visit to Jersey there seems to have benn a bit of a change to the record shop scene. Hmv have got bigger, when to comes to chart cd's they seem to be the cheapest on the island along with wollies. Seedee jons have gone down the lines of dvd's and computer games. They still sell cd's but not the range they did before.Infact they seem to have lost the independant record shop tag and have become a sort of jersey version of our price or tower records with the attidude to go with it(not like it used to be i'm afraid to say) If you are into dance music the only shop really to go to is Whitelabel records in Colomberie. This is run by Mal who used to run the afore mentioned shop before he left (some say sacked due to a car accident!!!).anyway great service, great tunes and a great atmosphere and the prices are very compettitive as well.If your lucky(as i was) coffee or tea will be provided. The great thing about this place is that you don't seemed pressured to buy anything unlike other record shops in the island
  • Seedee Jons! Kicks Ass!
  • Seedee Jons- The best place top find cd's of any type! Rock on
  • White Label Records, La Colomberie, St Helier for all your Dance and Underground needs.
  • White Label Records. Mal (mop head) from SeeDee Jons has branched out and set up his own shop doing mostly vinyl. very good. recommended!
  • In Jersey ? AVOID any of the majors like the money-grabbing CD outlets like HMV or Woolworths. They appear to have forgotten THERE'S NO VAT HERE..thus charge UK prices. Save yourself literally ££££ on your purchases and make for Seedee Johns. What he sells for 5 or 6.99 will cost you between 9 and 11 quid in HMV etc.
  • A NEW RECORD SHOP HAS OPENED UP IN COLOMBERIE CALLED WHITELABEL RECORDS. IT IS JERSEY'S FIRST SHOP SPECIALISING FOR THE DANCE SCENE. AFTER VISITING THE SHOP I WAS SURPRISED BY THE QUAILITY OF SERVICE AND THE STOCK THAT WAS HELD THERE. THERE IS ALSO A FANTASTIC COLLOCTION OF NOT JUST DANCE CD'S BUT A FINE SELECTION OF MORE CHILLED STUFF.IF THE GUY THERE HAS'NT GOT WHAT YOU ARE AFTER HE WILL GET IT FOR YOU.THERE ARE ALSO DECKS,MIXERS,FLIGHT CASES ETC ETC AND VERY FUNNY T-SHIRTS(YOU HAVE TO SEE TO BELIEVE) THERE SEEMS TO BE A MUCH MORE PERSONAL TOUCH THERE THAT ALL THE OTHER RECORD SHOPS SEEM TO BE LACKING IN JERSEY.POP IN AND HAVE A BROWSE AROUND I THINK YOU WILL AGREE THAT YOU MAY WELL BE PLEASENTLY SUPRISED BY WHAT YOU FIND.YOU'LL FIND IT DOWN BY THE NEW PSAR AT SNOW HILL. I HAVE ALSO FOUND UOT HE HAS A WEB SITE WWW.WHITELABELRECORDS.CO.UK WHERE YOU CAN SEE ALL THE TUNES HE HAS IN STOCK
  • after visiting st helier recently i was very pleased to find that this beautiful island finally has a proper dance related record shop called whitelabel records.what a great selection of vinyl and cd's.great clothing and accessories. The owner is very knowledgeable and if he dos'nt have it he will get it for you.the best dance specialist in the channel islands.the web address is www.whitelabelrecords.co.uk
  • see dee johns, very good shop on bath street.
  • after visiting the island i found the only shop worthy of being called a record shop was seedee jons in bath street, the staff are very knowledgeable and funny.beingh a dj i found that mal(or mop head)due to his vast expanse of hair, was as in touch with the current music scene as anyone i all the vinyl shops i've visited.if he did'nt have it it would be sent to him within a week, nice one.the girl that works there(nina) is a stunner and she is not just a pretty face, she knows her music inside out.what a shop,if anybody is thinking of visiting jersey check this shop out,you won't be dissapointed.the hmv in jersey is crap, usual chart rubbish with a shite overpriced stock, the place is a ripoff.cd's at seedee jons are at most 3-4 pound cheaper(not chart titles)
  • seedee jons has now moved to a bigger and better shop.the selection of cd's are second to non,and the dance vinyl selection is fantastic, new tunes every day. the prices are also the lowest in the island, non of the high rip off prices people are paying at the so called vat free hihg street shops.check it out
  • Seedee Jons is alright, and Music and Video Exchange. Otherwise, fairly shit.
  • the exchange place in la motte street .. kinda groovy ..
  • Easily the best record shop on the island is Seedee Jon's, located in St. Helier. As well as carrying a huge selection of vinyl and CD's, they also sell Pervert and Porn Star clothes.
