Skateboarding Spots
- The worlds most famous skateboarding incident took place in Keggers Hill on Thursday 5th September 1969 when the Bealtes did their infamous Skateboard gig. They took to the boards and rolled slowly down the hill itself, passing nearly every house during thier forty minute concert. Ringo of course had two skateboards (one for his drumkit and one naturally enough for himself). The gig was broken up by riot police in an over reaction which was at the time heavily critisised, until the terrible events of Bloody Sunday where Northern Ireland campaigners were shot at while staging a human rights march, on skateboards.
- Being on a hill, you can, of course, free fall down the hill side. I wouldn't recommend it, but you'll probalby try it any way Instead let me tell you of a friend (we'll call him Keith). He once decided to skateboard down a hill. It killed him. Fancy doing it now? Yeah, thought not. Crazy fools.
