High tea and a sticky bun

You can tell us more about Kendal.

Cafes and Coffee Shops
  • lots everywere
  • tapestry tea rooms for great food
  • Costa, Nero, Thorntons, and many, many more.
  • Tapestry tearooms on Stramongate (next to the quaker tapestry exhibition) do great vegetarian food to eat in or take away.
  • Costa Coffee Charlies Restaurant and Cafe
  • Yep Craghill's will have the coolest cafe
  • finkles, the chocolate house,mr bumbles and the mint bar
  • The place to be to chil with your mates for the slighty more alternate type is Mint, very good, much cheaper than costa, and if your wearing tie-dye you'll fit in even more!
  • Mint (brilliant), Costa (overpriced)
  • was prelude not anymore!!!!!!!!
  • The Union Jack in Kirkland is great for good, cheap grub. Veggie friendly too!
  • Mint cafe bar and costa packet coffee. Theres alsos thorntons cafe n beales.
  • Costa Coffee is the place to go if you're a wannabe for Sex And The City or Friends. It's where all the teeny boppers go who think they're hip american teens. You'll often find me and mates in there taking the mickey, we'll have suits on and I'll be reading the financial times.
  • Frydays chip shop is the best in the area. It's fish and chips are the best you can buy.
  • Fairly rubbish. Costa Coffee is an appalling place as anyone who's been in one will know. The rest are mainly for old people. The Waterside is pretty good, even if it is wholefoody. The most despicable place I have ever seen is Eclectic. I think they are trying to turn Kirkland into a trendy district. Kendal may be rubbish, but it would be even worse were it to become Shoreditch.
  • Coffee shops sell mint cake
  • costa coffee, finkles, yard 46
  • Costa coffee, various homely cafe's
  • Too many To name
  • 1657 is at the centre of a spacial vortex. And the coffee shop by the crossing is at the edge of a black-hole. One or the other is a must.
  • mrs miggins in stramongate, sound food dishy staff and they light a fire when its wet or cold so that's every day in kendal
  • Gotta be Costa's
