• Joe and Scot (irish folk buskers, done a few gigs), Caroline Francis (fiddler etc) and Robin (just a legend) and the guy who rides the blue and yellow bike around town usually seen at dickies or by the river.

• Kendal gets the odd busker not really up to much though! The occasional brass band playing annoyingly in the middle of town.

• Bag Lady - the new sherrif tramp in town. She's crazy,a nd has lots of bags with more and more bags in them. Somone needs to end her misery. Look out for Ronnie too, he's a geordie with a big beard and really REALLY smells of poo, human poo, and I don't know why. Friendly enough to talk to tho, he's your mate for life if you give him a fag or a can of booze.
• The only local character that I met was the landlady of the pub in which I was staying, the Kendal Bowman. Oh, and not forgetting two of Kendal Police's finest constables at 0400 hrs in the aforementioned premises.
• I once found someone playing Sweet Jane by The Velvet Underground, which was impressive. Otherwise, they sometimes play outside Beals, that's about it.
