• halgarth and the police have started cracking down abit the chavs are gettin a little more violent
• A lot of old people, and little places to have fun unless you are over 18.
• Moving A and E from Kendal hospital to Lancaster Chief Constable of Cumbria for doing people for 34 or even 33 in a 30mph
• tourists with attitude that come in thinking they own the place and slag the place off
• Local Chav attitude, heavy drink abuse an drug abuse for such a small town.
• Halgarth!!!! What a dump!!!
• The local attitude towards outsiders, A lot of Racism and Chavs.
• Worst Chinese Takeaway - River Fortune, South Road. Absolutely horrid rancid stuff. They need a change of fat or a change of chef, both might help!
• the weather!!!!!!!!!!!!!
• The teenage townies and scallys. But you find them in every town I guess.
• Cacky men whose idea of sophistication is to iron down a crease down the front of their jeans but are kind enough to make sure you get the last bus home, so they can then go to Jazzes with their equally numb mates.

• The town needs more nightclubs. And more things to do during the day. The baron wasteland between ASDA and the hospital with all the bsuhes and overgrown grass is just calling out to have an Arena or a bowling alley built in it. I'd love to see an arena. To put Kendal on the map, big sporting events, music concerts, I'd love to see that.
• The Kendal Bowman and it's landlady, you ugly, decomposing waste of skin.
• the superior 'look down their nose' attitude of most locals. definately League of Gentleman territory!
• That weirdo guy who goes round the streets late at night checking the phone boxes & pay and display machines for spare change. The fact that Kendal fellas think they are offering you MAXIMUM RESPECT if they get their Mums to iron a nice crease down the front of your jeans before a hot date (not that they get many).
• Much of the people. Not, as other people have pointed out, the "townies", but the middle classes. Probably the people who have been writing how much they hate bricklayers; those people who clog up the Brewery going on about how people from Kendal are idiots, yet they never leave. People who drink in Costa coffee, go to the Brewery, think Tinto's is good, and think Eclectic is classy. The kind of people who think of themselves as intelligent yet rarely read books. People who think of themselves as arty without being creative in the slightest. The middle-class 18-25 demographic in Kendal is severely retarded, and as they get older they begin agreeing with certain Conservative policies. Then they have kids, and they mature into hateful, self-righteous adults just like their parents. Also, the Westmorland Gazette. Especially the letters page. Unmitigated rubbish.

• Loads and loads of townies! Kirkbarrow, home of the dumbest people you'll ever meet.
• work, how small the place is (around 40,000).
• The one-way system and appalling traffic light timing. The awful filing in the libuary and the lack of useful info from the assistants.
• Everybody knows everybodys business.
• Much as I love Kendal I have to say that the reason why I chose to move 300 miles away was because of the small mindedness and basic ignorance of the people, and also the complete and utter incestuous nature of them - you will find that everyone in Kendal is a cousin, aunt, nephew etc of everyone else, and if they are (by some miracle) unrelated to anyone else in the town they will know EVERYTHING that goes on in everyone's life - NICE. Don't go to Jazz's - it's shit and full of the type of people mentioned above.
• Kendal is really bloody boring
• the high suicide rate amongst young men in the area and the unaddresed drug problem amongst young people. also that there is fuck all to do.
• Not much to do for the youngsters. Quite a boring spot at times.
• Loads of drop outs hanging around either Macdonald's or their half-way-house with their 14 year old girl friends.
• Tourists
• The Kendalians who live there
• The demise of Netherfield AFC
• The Town Planning of Highgate yards from late 50s. It was history.

• Small minded, parochial scallywags who will never do anything better than work in a garage or as a plasterer or as a brickie. You know who you are. Will you ever leave Kendal? Probably not, your idea of foreign is Lancaster!
• No cable TV system sombody filled in the canal in the fifties, what a lost oppertunity

• The heavy traffic ... if your not visiting Kendal, just going to the Lakes, USE the bypass its far quicker !!
