- Royal Bengal is cheap and cheerful if you fancy a curry after the pub!. Find it in the carpark behind Mountain Warehouse (Old woolies).
Pizza Panorama do good kebabs. Not good in the morning though.

- Morrel's, Simply the best restaurant in town
- Try Theatre By The Lake for a light lunch or a snackaroo. Very good, very reasonable and the best kept secret in town.
- Three chippies, one indian, some chinese places - reasonable but don't expect to be bowled over
- Pizza Panorama is good for burgers and kebabs and chatting to Zack & Pedro
- Morrells on Lake Road is a nice Italian.
The Lakes Food Store is the nicest - and also most expensive - supermarket I've ever been in. Fresh bread like you've never seen before, gorgeous veg, and delicious salad to take out. Say hi to Karl Rast.
- The George Hotel, superb restaurant and they sell Jennings beers.
- do not go to light bites the sandwiches are mouldy.
- Ye Olde Friars, massive sweet shop. A winner.
- The Lakeland Peddlar - can be found next to the carpark in the centre of town.
