Pubs in Keswick, Cumbria*
The place to go for a lazy afternoon, pub quiz or last call
You can tell us more about Keswick.
Pubs
- Lake Road Inn mainly because it has big beer garden and nice selection of drinks.
Queens back bar if you want to fight and bitch and moan over people who hog the pool table. Or take too long. CHALK THOSE CUES!!.
- bank tarven is an ok pint (costs 3.40 like) but you just want to kick the little shit barman with the glasses and really bad teeth who thinks he owns the town
- the labour club , its like pheonix nights in there.
- There isnt really any decent pubs in Keswick! On a Friday night which is a young person night Queens back bar and Casas are popular also Bar 26 which is a new bar on Lake Road!
- The Horse and Farrier at Threlkeld is worth a visit.
- Bar 26 the new 'in' spot to go very busy!!
- sweeneys ios deffianately best pub in keswick-although star lights could serve as a pub more than a club
- Queen's head (out de back) pub - upstairs is theeee place to watch footie or rugby. Two big screens to separate the Magpie gods from the Mancy gits when bother are playing. Good if highly varied crowd. No Jennings beer, though. Shame.
- The Queens Back Bar continues to be popular and continues to attract the most people. There are others but these are either a) dog rough or b) scampi & chip type pubs.
Personally I end up in the Pack Horse usually when I'm there - you can get a reasonable pint in there although there is NO decent beer to be had unless you vist the Beer Fest!!
- The Queens, The Golden Lion, Casablanca, Rafters. All good pubs???? Somewhat dubious slightly dodgy? Methinks perhaps that you might work in, or own them as in reality they are all pap. They charge too much, water down the beer... the list goes on.. and on... and on. finit.
- There are two pubs wit pool tables, contrary to comments elsewhere - one at THE CORNER BAR and one at THE KINGS ARMS
- casa's , lion, packhorse and queens are cool rafters but only if u wear a bobble hat.
- Queens Back Bar, popular with climbers and other badasses, now with 2 pool tables.
- If you are rpepared to travel, The Swinside Inn is the finest pub in the lakes. Now under new management it is much improved (1998)
- The Queens, The Golden Lion, Casablanca, Rafters. All good pubs, very busy at weekends.
