- The Keswick Reminder: local paper (as in "single sheet of") that underwent a major re-work in 1918 and hasn't changed a jot since. You're not a local until you've been told where to go by the lady who runs it. Yet still where you find out what's on at the cinema and who bought the biggun and croaked last week. (Hey - if you wanna find a house to buy around here....)

- The Keswick Beer festival is always held on the first weekend in June. It is usually a sell out so get tickets early.
