"go skate brambleside with MATT CLARKE, yes me MATT CLARKE. oh yeah and MATT CLARKE".
honestly
some bastard scraped the wax off library steps
- TIMPSONSSSSSSSSSS
- Outside boots used to be a bit of a skatey area before they ripped the wall down.
- BRUV MATE
fuck those spots. B-side with MATT CLARKE trav clayton and adam smith. throw down some tic tacs. or u can alternativeley go to willyland
- dno where to start.. sainsburys is where u wana go if youre not that good coz u can skate flat in the car park then move on to the 2 set wen ur ready. opposite that iceland has a ledge but i wudnt skate it at working hours coz ull get chased by some squeaky voiced adolescent or summink like that... bwise and WHSmith loading bay("skate street") are close to this, bwise ledge is behind bwise(wouldnt have guessed..) and skate street is near the edge of the toilets at the town centre. both are ledges about 4 feet high but both have pretty crappy run up. morrisons is quite good to skate if its wet or if you wana have a laugh, it has mud gaps, waxed curbs, manny pads, a bank and loads of smooth floor if you wana skate flat. one thing, expect to get chased and threatened with death by the security guards and dont underestimate them...(some of the fat ones are faster than they look).go towards town theres this new set made quite pointlessly by the council with a big F off clock there(cant rly miss it) which is a 2,3,4 set and a manny pad for the more creative of us..(NOTE: the council is meant to be taking this down in like a month-current date:12th April 2005 so get footage quick). theres and ASAB(anti social adolescent behaviour) thingy on skating in town so if you see police run rly quick or think of a good false name if they ask you for details. the market is wikid to skate, the steps arent that long but are quite long for four sets(eg. you dnt rly expect to have to ollie like 8 billion feet to clear a four set or go at like 900 miles an hour unless ur in barcelona rly do you?). anyways the market has a 2 set with hubba, a 3 set, a pretty big 3 set, and a 4 set. all have loooads of run up. library steps have pretty sketchy run ups and landings but are ok i spose. you can get speed for the 9 but theres all these slabs and stuff and the 7 is quite long and goes into the road. oh yeah and as somebody said before (possibly matt clarke..) it wasnt some short kid in girls clothes who ollied the 7 first, it was probably some 67 year old irish man 20 years ago whos laughing his fecking arse off in Dublin who did it. station roads ok to skate, loads of new spots to be found. usual stuff like a 4 set and ledges and shite but me and my mate found a handrail in a private estate the other day and a double set so always summink new to skate. station car park is basiaclly morrisons except it doesnt have a roof over it. last but definitely not least ise skatepark is pretty awesome to skate, sos the co op near it with 5 set handrail(LOW). theres probably more skate spots but i cant be bothered to get off my arse and find them so good luck(Y)
- everywhere - not an angled kerb or step in site
- there is the skate park(ise lodge) and morrisons usually gets some people there, if its dark hit the market square if it's good weather take a trip up telford way and find some shit to build stuff out of!
- WE DONT ASSOCIATE WIV, WE MURC U
- Bramble side is the place to be. skate some gnarly kerbs
- BRAMBLESIDE, check this gnarly place to skate with Matt Clarke OH YEA
- The best places to sk8 in kettering are in all the schools go and check em out trust there brill
- skateboard spots i hear you cry! wel look no futher than every street in crappy kettering. especially take note of morrisons, the town centre and the library steps. and i must say they r looking the sex in their tight trousers and studded belts. weHeart the skater dudes :P
- Just to ammend the previous message, left by some stupid little kid, The first person to ollie the market steps was not this Kieran Perkins, they have been skated since 1985, Somebody ahs definitely ollied them before. If you remember, Deathbox used to be based in Wellingborough, Not far away, and the team used to frequent wicksteed park skatepark, as well as library steps, marketplace etc... Deathbox went on to become Flip skateboards. Use your heads next time kids, eh?
- Go in the town and find new look, go round the back and there is a small ledge wiv a mud gap. The run up is shit but u can find a bit that u like. The taxi rank is ok to practise ur flat tricks. The Magistrates is a kool 3 set. The Market is a brilliant place, the steps are about curb height but are about a foot long lol. There is a 2 set, a 3 set and the infamous market 4 and big 3. The big 3 is about 4 or 5 ft long lol. The library steps are good for grinding. The library steps are also gd for ollieing if ur a pro lol. The first person to ollie them was Kieran Perkins, 15, 2004. They are about 6 foot long and there is also a 9 set in the library gardens. Station Road is great with a 4 set and some gd ledges. The Train Station car park is ok for flat, wiv sum waxed curbs. Morrisons is ok to skate flat and to practise running skills when ur gettin chased by security guards or the legendary Dale the Trolley guard. Ise Lodge skatepark is a cool park when its dry. And the Co-op 5 set is ok wiv small run up.
- Rockingham Speedway's (Corby) Adrenalin Alley
- Help to make a mess of the steps outside the Library
- Morrisons apart from the fat security guard, just run away and watch him waddle after you. Ise lodge is O.K. if its dry apart from the Kev's/Townies/chavs whatever you wanna call then. There is an amazing 3 set outside the magistrates court. You always get an hour before gettin thrown of and the market place has good sets 3, 4 and a five and there is a stupidly long three set. It is a crazy. And if its wet you can go sit in chopper, 12 Montague Street, The best shop in town.
- MORRISIONS by far the best!!!
- The town centre. Get in people's faces and show off your talents... go on, its only Kettering and no one else has anything to show off about.
- morrisons, station rd, the hospital is a sick place to skate, the skate park is full of townie wankers so dont go there, and thats about it.
- I guess the Ise Lodge Skate Park, but my slater buddies still go down the Market, and Morrisons car park occasionally.
- if u wanna go skateboardin or just watch the fit skater lads the best place is ise lodge sk8 park
- The metal so called "ramps" down highfield Rd are a death trap. The entire area is no more than 10m by 40m accomodating a five 1/4 pipe about 8 feet wide a streetstyle box with central rail, a small launch ramp and a freestanding curved rail. They are all so crowded there's no way to get ANY speed up to each bit, and all have a gap of about 3 inches deep and wide at join with the tarmac. I can't believe how stupid the council (presume its them) could be. Some little kid who knows no better will kill himself locking his wheels in the gap. What a waste of money. We could've built two decent halpipes on that site for the same outlay I reckon.
- Who is the stupid one who said the ramp down Deeble road has dissapeared, they have a cool sk8 park at the tennis courts. Also, after the bridge on Deeble road they have a couple of dirt ramps for BMX's
- I haven't seen many down the tennis courts lately-I was quite suprised to see a few older blokes skateboarding.
- Morrisons in Kettering is as good as it always was, Try Ise Lodge Skatepark (Or BMX Park as its been known), Station Road, Behind KLV, There are many secret spots, GO OUT AND LOOK 4 EM! or Buy a Rail and Ramp from argos and turn anywhere into a skate spot!!!
- Library steps
Morrisons car park
Ise Lodge skatepark
All over town
- The skate park down Mill Rd. is now inhabited by the '2 foot hardmen', so that's a no-go area with a board. Steps on sheep street are usually waxed. The Keystone has a halfpipe round the back, I think it costs £1.
- The skateboard has been taken down on Deeble rd, there is now a skateboard and Bmx site next to basketball court at trusty mill rd park! Since it's been built poor KLM have lost there offices!
- look around there's a lot more skaters than spots, which are used.
Morrisons, Market place etc get crowded although can be fun
look near the hospital/Telford way, down nr. Tecos, schools, any car park might have something a bit new; just search for concrete.
- i have no idea where there is to skate in kettering. montague street, the market, morrisons(if you can stay there without gettin kicked out by that weirdo security guard). theres a new ramp down keystone cant say ive been there though
- we have deeble road.one down by comet
and im sure there are more around kettering loves their skateboarding
- The old garage is good for a session with ur buds. Its on the corner of Ford St. Also the playground of Avonsdale Junior skool. I skate there wit Coxy, Aaron, Scott. Theres also the new Keystone ramp and the Ise Lodge skatepark where the tennis courts used to be.
- the mini ramp (Deeble Road) has dissappeared, about half a year ago (gutted)
- Station Road has some SICK spots! As Does the Weavers Medical Centre Car Park on School Lane. Also, Try Montagu School on Weekley Glebe Road! Thats Where I Skate and it RULES! We could do with more Skaters up there!
- Some of the offices down Station road, the Weavers medical centre car park in school lane, Montagu School has some sick grind spots and smooth surfaces
- Deeble Road
Highfeild road
- Deeble road ramp..... Nearly still there....
Highfeild road are getting a new one made out of metal, Well it is gonna need to be.
- the old spot to hang the warehouse is now demolished and new skate spots have to be found...try radlands skate park in neighbouring northampton or desborough skate park which originated as an original seventies concrete bowl... once again the library steps are the ones to do but as ketterings reputable skaters are growing up the skate spots are going... ketterings older skaters include Adam
- The Warehouse has been bought by privte land owners but a skate park is in the pipeline
- All the ramps are gone no (1998) except the one down Deeble Road, the Warehouse also got closed down, cos some kid broke their arm there.
- The Warehouse indoor skatepark right by the station is a sick place to skate with tons of ramps.
- Library steps in Sheep Street: wax everywhere.
- 12' wide wooden mini, at junction of Meadow Road and Northfield Road, near B & Q. 16' wide
- Freestyle mini next to Deeble Road
- A third mini "somewhere in North Park".
- I am not sure, but I think the ramp next to B&Q has gone and so might the one near Wikstead park. Also Edwards Fuax is a well known skater in Kettering, he used to be my best friend until his house burnt down.
